Hello, I have started knitting this cardigan in size 2-3 years. When I add up the stitches for the pattern 1+6+20+16+18+16+20+6+6+20+16+18+16+20+6+1 this equals 206, but I have only increased to 202 as per the pattern? Could you please clarify where I am going wrong? Thank you very much for your help
13.01.2022 - 17:04DROPS Design answered:
Dear Ina, so sorry for the delay. It seems to be a previous mistake; the diagram M1 used to indicate 15 stitches instead of 16 but, when the diagram was corrected, the number of initial stitches was not updated; this is the reason why there are 4 less stitches in any of the sizes in that paragraph, including sizes 2 years. So you need to increase to 206 stitches (40 sts increased evenly), not to 202 stitches. Thank you for your remark, we should correct the pattern soon. Happy knitting!

22.11.2020 - 17:21DROPS Design answered:
Hej Eva. Du avmaskar först 6 m mitt under ärmen.

Merci d'avance

Pick up approx. 65-70-80 (85-95-100) sts along the left front on smaller needles and knit 2 rows garter st, then 2.5 cm = 1" rib, then 2 rows garter st, bind off. Repeat along the right front, but after 1 cm = ⅜" make 5-6-6 (6-7-7) buttonholes evenly distributed on the row, making the top buttonhole as high up as possible (if necessary, make one less buttonhole on the buttonband and make a buttonhole in the neck band after the first row). (1 buttonhole = bind off 2 sts and cast on 2 new sts over the bound off sts on the next row.) Pick up approx. 120-150 sts around the neck on smaller needles and knit rib for 2.5 cm = 1", bind off.
