LG Kerstin

Bind off tip (arm hole): Bind off at end of row by crocheting to number of dc/ch to be bind off and then turn piece. Bind off at beg of row by crocheting sl st over number of dc/ch to be bind off. Back piece: Remember knitting gauge! Cast on 53-56-62-65-71-80 sts (incl 1 edge sts on each side) on needles size 8 mm [US 11] with dark grey. P1 row from WS. Knit next row as follows from RS: 1 edge st, * K1, P2 * repeat from *-* and finish with 1 edge st. When Rib measures 10 cm [4"] bind off, K over K and P over P. Now crochet with crochet hook size 8 mm [US L/11] and middle gray as follows: Make1 ch between each dc. Complete each row with 1 dc. 1st round: 1 sc in 2nd st on bind off edge of Rib, 2 ch * 1 ch, skip approx 2 cm [3/4"], 1 dc in next st * repeat from *-* 22-24-26-28-30-34 times in total = 23-25-27-29-31-35 dc with 1 ch between each. Remember knitting gauge! 2nd round: Read Crochet tip! 3 ch (= 1 dc) * 1 ch, 1 dc around ch from previous round * repeat from *-* = 23-25-27-29-31-35 dc with 1 ch between each. Crochet 2nd row until piece measures 42-43-44-45-46-47 cm [16½"-17"-17¼"-17¾"-18"-18½"]. Now bind off 1 dc and 1 ch on each side of each row 2-3-3-4-4-6 times in total – read bind off tip = 19-19-21-21-23-23 dc with 1 ch between each. When piece measures 60-64-66-68-70-72 cm [23⅝"-25¼"-26"-26¾"-27½"-28⅜"] crochet 1 row but only over 5-5-6-6-6-6 outermost dc on each side = 9-9-9-9-11-11 dc for neck. Cut and sew thread. Front piece: Cast on and knit like back piece. Then crochet like back piece. Bind off for armholes on sides like back piece. At the same time when piece measures 45-47-47-49-49-51 cm [17¾"-18½"-18½"-19¼"-19¼"-20"] bind off middle 9-9-9-9-11-11 dc for neck (bind off by not crocheting over middle 9-9-9-9-11-11 dc). Complete each side separately from here. Crochet until piece measures 62-64-66-68-70-72 cm [24⅜"-25¼"-26"-26¾"-27½"-28⅜"]. Repeat on other side. Assembly: Sew Rib tog at bottom edge within 1 edge sts. Sew piece tog in outermost edge. Sew shoulder seams. Sleeve edge: Pick up 54-60-63-69-72-81 sts around armhole on double pointed needles size 8 mm [US 11] with dark gray. Knit Rib * K1, P2 * repeat from *-* until edge measures 5 cm [2"]. Bind off K over K and P over P. Neck: Knit piece back and forth on circular needles. Insert 1 marking thread or stitch marker on neck mid back. Pick up 57-70 sts from RS on circular needle size 8 mm [US 11] with dark gray around neckline. Start at bottom right corner of front piece, continue up along side of neck, around back of neck and down along other side, do not pick up at bottom edge of neckline to front. Ensure to pick up approx an equal amount of sts on each side of marking thread or stitch marker mid back. K 1 row from WS at the same time inc 21-23 sts evenly = 78-93 (dividable with 3). Continue as follows: 1 st garter st, * K1, P2 * repeat from *-* and finish off with K1 and 1 sts garter st. Continue like this until Rib measures approx 7 cm [2¾"]. Now inc 1 sts on every other row 4 times in total on each of the 3 P-parts on each side of marking thread or stitch marker mid back = 102-117 sts (P new sts). Knit until neck edge measures 18-18-18-18-22-22 cm [7"-7"-7"-7"-8¾"-8¾"]. Bind off K over K and P over P. Assembly: Sew neck onto body piece mid front where dc/ch have been bind off.
