Hallo, liebes Drops Team!

Knitting gauge: 18 sts x 25 rows using 4.5mm needle in stockinette stitch = 10 x 10 cm. = 4" x 4" Pattern: See diagram M.1. The diagram is seen from the right side. Front piece: Cast on 119-128-137-146 sts loosely (inclusive of 1 seam st each side – all seam sts are knitted in garter sts) using needle size 4.5 mm = US 7 and Vivaldi. Knit 4 rows in garter st (1st row = right side) and continue in M.1 with 1 seam st each side. When piece measures 14 cm = 5½", knit 4 rows in garter st (first row from the right side), at the same time adjusting number of sts to 118-124-132-142 on first row. Now continue in stockinette st. When piece measures 30-31-32-34 cm = 11¾"-12¼"-12½"-13⅜" bind off 1 st for armhole each side, at the same time diving the piece mid front for V-neck and finish each side separately. Put sts on the left part on a thread. Now dec for neck on every other row 1 st 7 times and on every 4th row 1 st 6-6-7-7 times. After all dec for armhole and neck have been made there are 45-48-51-56 sts left on shoulder. Bind off when piece measures 48-50-52-55 cm = 19"-19¾"-20½"-21⅝". Put sts from thread back on needle and knit as right front. NB! Knit 1st row from mid front and begin by picking up 1 st in the first st from the other side and knit this together with 1st st on row (do this to avoid notches at the bottom of the V-neck). Back piece: Cast on and knit as front piece. Bind off for armhole as described for front piece and continue until piece measures 46-48-50-53 cm = 18"-19"-19¾"-21". Cast of the middle 22-22-24-24 sts for neck and dec 1 st on each neck line on every other row 2 times = 45-48-51-56 sts left on each shoulder. Bind off when piece measures 48-50-52-55 cm = 19"-19¾"-20½"-21⅝". Sleeve: Loosely cast on 56 sts for all sizes (inclusive of 1 seam st each side) on needles size 4.5mm = US 7 with Vivaldi and knit 4 rows in garter st (1st row = right side). Now knit M.1 with 1 seam st each side. When piece measures 16 cm = 6¼", knit 4 rows in garter st (first row from the right side), at the same time adjusting number of sts to 46-46-48-50 on first row. Now continue in stockinette st. When piece measures 18 cm = 7" inc 1 st each side a total of 10-12-13-14 times as follows: Size S/M on every 6th row, Size M/L on every 4th row and 5th row alternately, Size XL on every 4th row, Size XXL on every 3rd and 4th row alternately = 66-70-74-78 sts. Bind off all sts when sleeve measures 43-42-41-39 cm = 17"-16½"-16⅛"-15¼". Assembly: Sew right shoulder seam. Pick up approx 90 to 110 sts round the neck on needle 4.5 mm = US 7 with Vivaldi. Knit 15 cm = 6" garter st and bind off loosely. To avoid the edge becoming too tight, make a yo approx every 8th st while binding off (bind off yo’s as sts). Sew left shoulder seam and continue up along the neck – sew neck together in the outer loop of the outermost st so that the seam doesn’t show when neck folds over. Crochet a border round neck and sleeves using crochet hook size 3.5 mm = US E/4 and Cotton Viscose as follows: 1 sc, *skip 1-1.5 cm = ⅜"-½", 1 sc in next st*, repeat from *-* and finish with 4 ch and 1 sl st in first sc from beginning of row. Set in the sleeves. Sew the sides and the sleeves seams together in the seam sts. |
