Gauge: 12 sts x 15 rows with 1 strand of each yarn (2 strands) in stockinette st = 10 x 10 cm. Rib: * K 2, P 2 *, repeat * - *. Knitting tips (raglan and side shaping): After the marker: Slip 1 st as if to knit, K 1, psso. Before the marker: K 2 tog. Knitting tip: If your row gauge is not correct, the raglan shaping will not work out. If it is too tight (too many rows per inch), the raglan will be too short – adjust by adding rows without decs. If it is too loose (too few rows per inch), the raglan will be too long – adjust by making dec rows more frequently. Body: Cast on 88-96-104-120-136 sts with 1 strand of each yarn (= 2 strands) on circular needles; join and place a marker at the join. K 1 row and then 3 rows rib. Change to stockinette st, increasing (except for size XXL) on the first row to 92-100-108-124-136 sts, evenly distributed. Put a marker at each side (46-50-54-62-68 sts between markers). When the piece measures 8 cm dec 2 sts at each side (1 st at each side of each marker) every 2-2-2-1.5-1.5 cm – see knitting tips above – a total of 4-4-4-5-5 times = 76-84-92-104-116 sts. When the piece measures 17 cm inc 2 sts at each side (1 st at each side of each marker) every 3 cm a total of 5-5-6-6-6 times = 96-104-116-128-140 sts. When the piece measures 33-34-35-36-37 cm bind off 6 sts at each side for armhole (3 sts at each side of each marker) = 42-46-52-58-64 sts remain on front and back. Lay piece aside and knit the sleeves. Sleeve: Cast on 32-32-36-36-36 sts on double-pointed needles with 1 strand of each yarn (= 2 strands); join and place a marker at the join. K 1 row, then knit 3 rows rib. Change to stockinette st, adjusting (inc/dec if needed) to 32-34-34-36-36 sts on the 1st row. When the piece measures 8 cm dec 3 sts evenly distributed. Repeat dec when the piece measures 10 cm. When the piece measures 12 cm dec 2 sts evenly distributed = 24-26-26-28-28 sts. When the piece measures 15 cm inc 1 st each side of marker every 4-4-3-2.5-2.5 cm a total of 7-7-9-9-10 times = 38-40-44-46-48 sts. When sleeve measures 42-41-41-40-40 cm bind off 3 sts at each side of marker = 32-34-38-40-42 sts. Lay piece aside and knit second sleeve. Yoke: Put the sleeves in on the same circular needles as body where you bound off for armholes = 148-160-180-196-212 sts. Put a marker in each transition between front, back and sleeves (= 4 markers). Raglan shaping (read Knitting tips): Body: Dec 1 st at each side of front and back every other row 6-6-5-5-4 times and then every row 3-4-8-9-13 times. Sleeves: Sizes S - XL - XXL: knit 1 row on sleeve before starting shaping. All other sizes begin shaping on 1st row of sleeve. Dec 1 st at each side of sleeve every 4 rows 4-4-3-2-2 times and every other row 0-1-4-6-7 times. After raglan shaping is complete 96-100-100-108-108 sts remain. Bind off, the piece measures approx. 52-54-56-58-60 cm to shoulder. Assembly: Sew opening under the sleeve. Collar: Pick up 96-100-100-108-108 sts around the neck on circular needles with 1 strand of each yarn (= 2 strands) – pick up 1 st in every bound off st. Join and knit stockinette st. When the piece measures 5 cm inc 16-16-20-20-24 sts evenly distributed on the row = 112-116-120-128-132 sts. When the piece measures 10 cm inc 16-18-22-22-26 sts evenly distributed = 128-134-142-150-158 sts. When the piece measures 15 cm inc 16-18-22-22-26 sts evenly distributed = 144-152-164-172-184 sts. When the collar measures 20 cm loosely bind off all sts – to make the edge stretchy, make a yo every 5 sts at the same time as you bind off (bind off the yo as a st). Twisted cord: Cut 1 strand Paris + 1 strand Cotton Viscose approx. 5 meters long. Twist together until tight, fold in half and let the yarn twist up on itself. Tie a knot at each end. The cord will measure approx. 2 meters. Thread the cord through the edge between body and collar so that you can use it to adjust the neck opening. Crocheted blossom: Ch 4 with beige Cotton Viscose and join into a ring with 1 sl st. 1st row: 1 sc in ring, * ch 2, 1 sc in ring*, repeat * - * a total of 6 times and finish with ch 2 and 1 sl st in first sc at start of row = 7 ch-loops. 2nd row: ch 1, then crochet as follows in first ch-loop: * 1 sc, 3 dc, 1 sc *, repeat * - * in all ch-loops and finish with 1 sl st in first sc at start of row. Turn piece and crochet next row from back side. 3rd row: ch 1, * 1 sc in each sc from 1st row (crochet on back side of petal around the sts from the previous row, pull yarn tight), ch 4 *, repeat * - * a total of 7 times and finish with 1 sl st in first sc at start of row. 4th row: ch 1, then crochet as follows in first ch-loop: * 1 sc, ch 1, 5 dc, ch 1, 1 sc *, repeat * - * in all ch-loops and finish with 1 sl st in first sc at start of row. Cut yarn and fasten. Change to beige Paris. 5th row: * 1 sc in each sc from 3rd row (crochet on back side of the 2 petals around the sts from previous row, pull yarn tight), ch 5 *, repeat * - * a total of 7 times and finish with 1 sl st in first sc at start of row. 6th row: ch 1, then crochet as follows in first ch-loop: * 1 sc, ch 1, 7 dc, ch 1, 1 sc *, repeat * - * in all ch-loops and finish with 1 sl st in first sc at start of row. Cut yarn and fasten. Crochet two flowers and sew on the collar. |
