Is it true that this pattern is made using three kinds of yard. So if I want to make this sweater I have to use 200 grms of each of the yarns mentioned.or is it that we can use any one of the yarns. Thanks.

Dear Mrs Saroj, you will find amount of each of required yarn for each size under tab "Materials", ie in first size you need 100 g Bomull-Lin (= 2 balls) + 100 g Passion (discontinued yarn see here how to find an alternative + 50 g Vivaldi (= 1 ball). Happy knitting!

Gauge: 10 sts x 16 rows in pattern = 10 x 10 cm Pattern: Row 1 = right side Rows 1 + 2 (Bomull-Lin): Knit (= 2 rows garter st). Row 3 (Passion): * K 1, 2 yo *, repeat from * - *, end with K 1. Row 4 (Passion): Knit, letting yos from previous row drop (= long st). Rows 5 + 6 (Bomull-Lin): Knit (= 2 rows garter st) Row 7 (Vivaldi): * K 1, 2 yo *, repeat from * - *, end with K 1. Row 8 (Vivaldi): Knit, letting yos from previous row drop (= long st). Repeat Rows 1 - 8 over all sts. For a neater transition between yarns, knit the 1st st on Row 3 and Row 7 of the pattern with 1 strand of the previous yarn + 1 strand of the new yarn. Knitting info: The pullover is knit from wrist to wrist in one piece. The first row is the right side, and with right side facing you, the left edge is the front and the right edge is the back. Pullover: Loosely cast on 24-24-26-26-28 sts on circular needles with Bomull-Lin and knit pattern – see instructions above – to finished measurements. When the piece measures 14 cm inc 1 st at each side every 7-5.5-5.5-4.5-4 cm a total of 6-7-7-8-8 times = 36-38-40-42-44 sts – knit the increased sts in the pattern. When the piece measures 51-51-50-49-47 cm (this is the top of the sleeves) place a marker – measure the work from here. Then loosely cast on at each side every other row (that is, at the end of every row): 10 sts 2 times and then 12-13-14-15-16 sts 1 time = 100-104-108-112-116 sts. When the piece measures 12-13-15-17-20 cm (from the marker) knit the next row as follows (right side row): 49-51-53-55-57 sts (= back), bind off 5 sts for the neck, 46-48-50-52-54 sts (= front). Knit the front and back separately. Front: = 46-48-50-52-54 sts. Bind off at neck edge every other row: 2 sts 2 times and 1 st 3 times = 39-41-43-45-47 sts. When the neck opening measures 10-12-12-14-14 cm (lay piece flat and measure from where you bound off 5 sts). Then loosely cast on at neck edge every other row: 1 st 3 times, 2 sts 2 times and then 5 sts 1 time = 51-53-55-57-59 sts. After all sts are cast on the neck opening measures 16-18-18-20-20 cm. Put sts on a st holder. Back: = 49-51-53-55-57 sts. Knit until neck opening measures approx. 16-18-18-20-20 cm (adjust to end after the same rows of the pattern as on front). Front + Back: Put front sts back on the same circular needles as back sts = 100-104-108-112-116 sts. Continue until the piece measures 37-41-45-51-57 cm from the marker (see that you have the same number of rows at each side of neck). Now bind off at each side every other row (that is, at the beginning of every row): 12-13-14-15-16 sts 1 time, and then 10 sts 2 times = 36-38-40-42-44-46 sts. Place a new marker – measure the work from here. Knit approx. 2-4-3-3-5 cm (match the length of first sleeve after last inc up to the marker) then dec 1 st at each side every 7-5.5-5.5-4.5-4 cm a total of 6-7-7-8-8 times = 24-24-26-26-28 sts. When sleeve measures 51-51-50-49-47 cm (from the marker – adjust so that both sleeves are the same length). Knit 2 rows garter st with Bomull-Lin and bind off. Assembly: Sew sleeve and side seams from right side. Be careful that the seam does not get too tight. Neckband: Work 1 row of reverse crochet around the neck with Passion. (Reverse crochet: sc from left to right.) |
