For the sleeves, when knitting back and forth and shaping the sleeve cap, where do I decrease the 5 stitches, at the end of each row? Thanks in advance!
30.01.2025 - 00:32DROPS Design answered:
Hi Tanya, You cast off stitches on both sides of the sleeve cap every 2nd row, casting off 5 stitches on both sides (both beginning and end of the row: 10 stitches in total) 4 times. Happy knitting!

Hello, am I supposed to knit the sleeves in round or flat?
06.06.2024 - 08:27DROPS Design answered:
Hi Marie, you start working in the round, then you cast off 6 sts mid under arm and from this point you continue knitting sleeve cap flat (back and forth). Happy knitting!

Please, what size of "Rundstricknadel 5" is needed, how long shall it be? 120cm? Also, how do I know which size I need? (I did not try to produce something bigger than a shawl yet, so that's new to me) Thank you Thank you
24.01.2023 - 20:34DROPS Design answered:
Dear Bci, a 80 cm needle should be the right size - the circular needle should be always at least as long or shorter than the cirumference of piece - otherwise you can work magic loop. Happy knitting!

Kann ich die Wolle Alaska Tweed durch dieWolle Drops Soft Tweed ersetzen? Dazu müsste ich wissen, welche Lauflänge Alaska Tweed hatte, um die Wollmenge zu errechnen. Danke

Liebe Irmi, DROPS Alaska Tweed war Garngruppe C, so können Sie nicht Soft Tweed (Garngruppe B) als Aternative stricken - benutzen Sie den Garnumrechner um die unterschiedlichen Möglichkeiten/Alternative zu finden. Viel Spaß beim stricken!

Hello, after increasing 25 times to get 88 stitches in the sleeve, should I continue increasing on every third round until it measures 44 cm or just continue in pattern? Also, how many stitches should I have at the end of decreasing to shape the sleeve cap? The armpit end of my sleeve is 21 cm in width, whilst the armhole in the body is 26 cm. How do they fit together? Thank you, Alana
01.03.2021 - 14:21DROPS Design answered:
Dear Alana, after you have increased 2 sts on every 3rd row and get the 88 stitches, continue working until piece measures 44 cm from cast on edge. Now cast off 6 sts at the beginning of next 2 rows, then cast off 5 sts at the beginning of the next 4 rows = 36 sts remain on needle. Cast off all stitches. The width of sleeve shouldn't match the circumference of armhole, but the whole length of top on sleeve including cast off on each side for sleeve cap should match the circumference of sleeve. Happy knitting!

Vielen Dank Brigitte Hilz

After decreasing the 5 stiches at the underarm - no specific directions for next decreases - is there corrections
07.03.2014 - 23:33DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs White, for body, you cast off 4 sts each side for armhole, then continue each piece separately binding off each side every other row 2 sts 1-2 times, 1 st 3-2 times for armhole. For sleeve, cast off the mid 6 sts under arm and continue binding off each side every other row 5 sts 4 times. Happy knitting!
