Could you please explain what you mean when you say (Dividable with 8sts + 4sts) when picking up stitches along the left front piece? What are the 8+4 stitches?
04.04.2024 - 16:43DROPS Design answered:
Dear Cecile, you should pick up as many stitches so when you have your stitchnumber, and you take off 4 stitches the rest should be the multiple of 8. (So for example, you pick up 84 stitches,, minus 4, then the 80 that is left is a multiple of 8.) You do this, so if you start your ribbing with 4 knit, then do a P4/K4 ribbing, you can dinish it with 4 knit stitch. I hope this helps. Happy Knitting!

When you say "continue work pattern with 1 edge sts on each side mid front." Can you please say how to do the edge stitch". Is it a slip stitch purlwise? I look forward to your answer, Cecile
10.02.2024 - 15:16DROPS Design answered:
Dear Cecile, edge sts are usually worked (unless otherwise stated) as sts in garter stitch. These are always knitted when you work back and forth. That is, when it says 1 edge st= knit 1. Happy knitting!

Hei Birgitte. 1 kantmaske i hver side. Usikker på hvilken video du har sett, men teknikken skal være den samme om det er 1 eller 2 kantmasker, om ikke annet er forklart i oppskriften. mvh DROPS Design

Hi, another question please about the sleeves. Increase 2 sts alternating every 3rd & 4th row. What does that mean ? Is that on the 3rd row then the next 4th row i.e row 7 then row 10 etc or every 3& 4th row i.e row 3 & 4 then 6 & 8. I intend knitting the sleeves flat. Not sure what the word alternating means in this pattern. Many thanks.
16.02.2020 - 08:17DROPS Design answered:
Hi Maxine, It is as you say to begin with, first increase after 3 rows then the next increase after a further 4 rows, then 3 rows etc. Happy knitting!

Thank you. That makes sense. However, it is not what the pattern says ...maybe it is me but I would never have arrived at that conclusion from the instructions. It might be worth amending to make it clear.

Following on from my previous question ...should it be 4sts on every row rather than every other row which would make more sense. The pattern says every other row but one of the answers previously suggests every row but no amendment to main pattern so not sure. Many thanks

Hi. I am confused about the sleeves. When shaping the cap it says continue back & forth i.e working flat ? Continue cast off every other row ...4 sts 9 times. Is that 4 stitches at start & end of every other row? Or 2 sts at start & end. It is not clear to me can you clarify please. Many thanks
12.02.2020 - 00:20DROPS Design answered:
Dear Maxine you should cast off at the beginning of every row from each side( = on the same side every other row), to cast off 4 sts 9 times, cast off 4 sts at the beginning of the next 18 rows. Happy knitting!

Hej. /Mai

Sorry,i cant understand this part: When piece measures 44 (44-45) cm bind off 6 sts mid under arm (where i bind off???) and complete working back and forth on needle. Continuing bind off to shape sleeve cap on every other row: 4 sts 9 times each side, bind off. thank you
05.08.2019 - 23:37DROPS Design answered:
If you are working in the round, then you cast off 6 sts mid under arm (usually divided with a marker). However, if you are knitting back and forth, then bind off the first 3 sts on the right side, and then, the first 3 stitches on the wrong side of work. Then you start shapping the sleeve cap the same way: 4 sts at the beginning of each row (right and wrong side). Last, you bind off the remaining sts. Happy Knitting!
