How to knit the slippers in DROPS Extra 0-1136

In this DROPS video we show how to knit the beautiful Hopscotch slippers in DROPS 0-1136. We knit size 20/21. These slippers are made in DROPS Peak, in the video we knit with DROPS Snow. How to work the slippers in DROPS Children 27-19

In this DROPS video we show to work the “Lemon Jelly” slippers in DROPS Children 27-19. By working with smaller needles than you normally do for DROPS Snow, you get a firmer slipper. But remember the needle size in the pattern are only the recommended size. We use needle 4 in the video and working according to size 20/21 (the smallest size). We have already cast on 24 stitches and show a bit of the 1st round which is knit and a bit of the 2nd round which is purled (= 1 RIGDE in garter stitch). Work garter stich until the piece measures 3 cm. Then the first 8 stitches of the round are kept on the needle and the remaining 16 stitches are put on 1 thread. Cast on 1 stitch at the beginning and 1 stitch at the end of the 8 stitches on the needle. Work garter stich back and forth until the work measures 4 from where the stitches were put on 1 thread. Cast off 1 stitch in each side. Knit up 6 stitches in each side and put the stitches on the thread back on the needle. Put 1 marking thread in the middle of the front and 1 in the middle of the back. When the piece measures 2 from the marker threads, decrease 1 stitch on each side of the marker threads, decrease like this every other round until the piece measures 4 cm. Then cast off the remaining stitches and sew the seam under the foot in outer loops of edge stitch. These slippers are worked in DROPS Snow, the same yarn we use in the video. In this DROPS video we show how to knit chart M.4B for the Akropolis bolero in DROPS 139-5. How to knit a Moebius (Möbius) ring

In this DROPS video we show how you can knit a Moebius (Möbius) ring. Moebius was a German mathematician from the beginning of the 19th century, who developed the magically twisted circle ring on which this knitting technique is based. Use a long circular needle - at least 32 inch. Cast on around double needle points. Number of sts cast on divided by gauge will give finished diameter. Pull out one needle and move sts to needle with no working yarn. With other side of needle pick up sts in each long loop under each stitch all around. (Since not picking up in the first st you will end up with an odd total number of sts). The needles should now be on the outside of the cable and the cable is twisted one time on the middle. Join and start knitting in the round. First time you get to the starting tail you have worked all sts cast on on needle and now you will make first round on the sts picked up and first time you work these you knit in the back loop. Following rounds will be worked in front loop as normally. If you keep knitting in the round half your work will be in stockinette and half in reversed stockinette. Since you have an odd number of sts you could K1,P1 all around and your moebius will be all in seed sts. You must read the pattern to be able to follow. How to knit A.1, A.2 and A.3 in DROPS 0-1108

In this DROPS video we show how to knit the charts A.1, A.2 and A.3 for the Blue Paris shoulder piece in DROPS Extra 0-1108, but the charts are also used in other DROPS patterns. In the video we show chart A.1 one time (= 7 sts), chart A.2 two times (= 12 sts) and chart A.3 one time (= 6 sts). We knit 3 garter st in each side and have already worked the chart 1 time in height so that you can see the pattern better. How to knit stripes and short rows in garter stitch

In this DROPS video we show how you can knit stripes in garter st and at the same time short rows. Knit as follows: 1st row (= RS): Work until 2 sts remain, turn and work back, work until 4 sts remain, turn and work back. Continue like this (work 2 sts less than previous time) until the last 2 sts on needle have been worked back and forth. Knit at the same time the stripes. How to decrease in DROPS 155-1 and DROPS 158-17

In this DROPS video we show how to decrease while knitting short rows and stripes as on the jackets in DROPS 155-1 and DROPS 158-17. Knit as follows: Slip the first 2 sts loosely over on to right needle, pull yarn behind the 2 sts, work the remaining sts and work back but not over the last 2 sts. Continue like this (slip 2 sts more on to right needle for every time) until 2 sts remain on needle and last row is from WS. How to knit cables and false fisherman's rib

In this DROPS video we show you how to knit the cables and false fisherman's rib after chart A.1, A3 and A.4 in the jumper in DROPS 181-18. We have already knitted 1 ridge, chart A.2 and 2 rows of chart A.4. In the video we knit like this: 3 stitches garter stitch, A.1 over 4 stitches, A.4 over 31 stitches, A.3 over 4 stitches and 3 stitches in garter stitch. We knit size S-M-L. How to knit a textured border

In this DROPS video we show you how to knit the textured border after chart A.1 in DROPS 197-8. We only show the beginning of round 10 and 11. Round 10: 1 yarn over, * insert the right needle in the middle of the stitch marked with a circle 4 rounds before this round, pick up the strand and pull the loop 3 cm long *, knit 1, repeat from *-* 1 time (= 3 stitches). This we show 3 times. Round 11: Work yarn over twisted to avoid hole, knit 3 together, knit 1, knit 3 twisted together and purl 1. This we also show 3 times. Remember the loops that are pulled out must have the correct length so that it does not get too tight. In this video we use the yarn DROPS Snow. How to work a 2-colored textured pattern

In this DROPS video we show how to work a 2-colored textured pattern where the structure is created by changing the strand both in front and back off the piece, purling and where the thread is picked up from previous rounds. This technique is used on the jumper in DROPS 210-9 and the jacket in DROPS 210-10. First we show how to lift stitches from left needle over to right needle with the strand in front (towards you), then lift the strand from 4 rounds below on the left needle and knit it together with the next stitch (the strand is behind /WS). Then we show how to lift stitches from left needle over to right needle with strand behind (on WS) and purl next stitch. We use the yarn DROPS Air and DROPS Big Deligt in the video. How to work a neck with short rows

In this DROPS video we show how to work after chart A.1 and A.2 to the neck with short rows to the “Spring Fuzz” Jacket in DROPS 213-27. First we work right neck after chart A.1 and Short Rows-1, then left neck after chart A.2 and Short Rows-2. Then we show how to work these pieces together. How to increase and mark the increase stitches with stitch markers in English rib

In this DROPS video we show how to increase and mark the increase stitches with different colors, the same way we do in the «Cheers to Lift» jumper in DROPS 212-28. INCREASE AS FOLLOWS IN THE STITCHES WITH PURPLE MARKERS: Work 3 stitches in the stitch and yarn over and move the marker as follows: Knit together the yarn over and stitch, move the purple marker to this stitch (i.e. stitch on right needle), but do not slip the stitch and yarn-over off the left needle, make 1 yarn over the right needle and knit together the stitch and yarn over 1 more time = 3 stitches (= 2 stitches increased). The marker sits in the first increased stitch (= knitted stitch). The next time you increase, work in the stitch with the marker. INCREASE AS FOLLOWS IN THE STITCHES WITH GREEN MARKERS: Work 3 stitches in the stitch and yarn over and move the marker as follows: Knit together the yarn over and stitch, but do not slip the stitch and yarn-over off the left needle, make 1 yarn over the right needle and knit together the stitch and yarn over 1 more time and move the green marker to this stitch = 3 stitches (= 2 stitches increased). The marker sits in the last increased stitch (= knitted stitch). The next time you increase, work in the stitch with the marker. On the next round work the 3 stitches into the English rib pattern as follows: Make 1 yarn over, slip 1 stitch as if to purl, purl the yarn over, make 1 yarn over, slip 1 stitch as if to purl. How to work the beginning to a jumper

In this DROPS video we show how we work the beginning of the Breaking Sunlight jumper in DROPS 213-36, but the same increase with 8 markers is also used in other jumpers. We have already cast on 80 stitches (size S) and knitted 1 round. We start the video by working a rib (knit 1, purl 1) 2 rounds. Then change to larger needles, work textured pattern (knit 1, 1 in garter stitch) and put 8 markers in work + 1 mark (green) indicating the beginning of the round. We show 4 more rounds, but the last 2 rounds we do not show the whole rounds. You must read the pattern as well as watch the video. You can find the pattern by clicking on the picture below. How to work a V-neck after charts

How to start working a pouffe-sleeve, from sleeve cap and top down

In this DROPS video we show how to start working back and forth a pouffe-sleeve from the sleeve cap and top down, like in DROPS 223-1. Remember to read a pattern using this technique on how many stitches you should cast on, how many increases in first row, how many times it`s working 2 stitches in 1 stitch (in front and in back loop) and how you increases in each sides before you can work around. In this video we have cast on 10 stitches, then we knit from RS while increase 5 stitches (evenly). Then we purl 1 row from WS and next row from RS we increase by knit 2 stitches in each stitch (except the first and last stitch). Then work stocking stitch back and forth to sleeve cap and cast at the same time on new stitches at the end of every row in each side. Remember to read the pattern for how many stitches and times. When you have the right number of stitches and measurement put piece together and continue in the round. We use the yarn DROPS Snow in the video.
