How to weave in ends when working a new colour in the round

In this DROPS video we show how you can weave in ends on your work.

When knitting with multiple colors or when just changing from one to another color, you can weave in the end as you continue with the new color. When you start the new color you want to make sure to twist the loose end around your previous color to avoid a hole, then place the working yarn behind the tail, and pick up the yarn alternating above and under the tail end to weave it in. Weave for about 4-6 sts and then you can cut the remaining tail. This way you don't have to fasten the threads at the end.

Bonjour Coraline, seule la main dans laquelle on tient le fil est différente, le reste se passera de la même façon, c'est le même principe, quelle que soit la façon de tricoter. Bon tricot!

Dag Mieke, Voor dikker garen en het wisselen van meerdere kleuren is er niet echt een andere methode voor het wegwerken van de draden via deze weefmethode, zodat er geen bobbel/verdikking zal ontstaan. Je zult altijd enigszins een bobbel houden. Deze is bij dikker garen natuurlijk wat dikker, maar in verhouding tot het breiwerk hetzelfde als bij dun garen en zal het niet opvallen als het kledingstuk gedragen wordt.

In this DROPS video we show how you can weave in tails on your crochet or knitted project. When using a cotton yarn, especially when it's thicker, it can be tricky. The tails will show and also may come out again when washing and wearing. A great trick is to split the strand into multiple thinner strands and then sew these thinner strands away in different directions. This usually comes out invisible and will not come undone.
