In this DROPS video we show how to pick up stitches with a crochet hook inside the garter stitch edge. To get the desired number of stitches in a pattern, you have to "skip" some stitches. We use the yarn DROPS Snow in the video.

How assembly a double neck edge on the inside of a garment

In this DROPS video we show how to sew a rib / neck edge on the inside of a garment. Work the rib / neck edge as it is written in a pattern and when assembly fold the rib at the top of neck down on the inside of garment. How to weave in ends when working a new colour in the round

In this DROPS video we show how you can weave in ends on your work. When knitting with multiple colors or when just changing from one to another color, you can weave in the end as you continue with the new color. When you start the new color you want to make sure to twist the loose end around your previous color to avoid a hole, then place the working yarn behind the tail, and pick up the yarn alternating above and under the tail end to weave it in. Weave for about 4-6 sts and then you can cut the remaining tail. This way you don't have to fasten the threads at the end. You must read the pattern to be able to follow. How to knit the button cheat flap in DROPS Children 23-11

In this DROPS video we show how we work the cheat button flap used on the Mini Me neck warmer in DROPS Children 23-11. We start the video with knitting the last stitches on the round until we shall cast on new stitches and then knit back and forth. Cast on X-number of new stitches at the end of the round, then knit back and forth (follow the pattern). Sew cast on edge on the new sts to the inside of neck warmer. Sew a button on to flap. This neck warmer is made in DROPS Alpaca and DROPS Kid-Silk, but in the video we knit with a thicker yarn, DROPS Snow. You must read the pattern to be able to follow. How to knit stripes and short rows in garter stitch

In this DROPS video we show how you can knit stripes in garter st and at the same time short rows. Knit as follows: 1st row (= RS): Work until 2 sts remain, turn and work back, work until 4 sts remain, turn and work back. Continue like this (work 2 sts less than previous time) until the last 2 sts on needle have been worked back and forth. Knit at the same time the stripes. How to work a neck with short rows

In this DROPS video we show how to work after chart A.1 and A.2 to the neck with short rows to the “Spring Fuzz” Jacket in DROPS 213-27. First we work right neck after chart A.1 and Short Rows-1, then left neck after chart A.2 and Short Rows-2. Then we show how to work these pieces together. How to work a V-neck after charts

In this DROPS video we show how we work the V-neck after charts to the «Highland Homecoming» jumper in DROPS 216-5. We knit up stitches inside the 1 edge stitch around the neck before we work after chart A.2 and A.3. How to work a V-neck cable after chart

In this DROPS video we show how to work a V-neck where the V starts with a cable over 10 stiches, like the «Renaissance Memories» jumper in DROPS 222-41, but the same technique / similar cable is used in other patterns. Then we show how to split the V and then decrease stitches before and after chart A.2 and A.3. This jumper is worked in DROPS Sky, but in the video we work with a thicker yarn; DROPS Snow. We show how to work chart A.1 before we split the piece and work A.2 and A.3 and at the same time we decrease 1 stitch after A.2 and 1 stitch before A.3 from RS. How to decrease to a V-neck

In this DROPS video we show how to decrease to a V-neck, used in the «Unexpected» vest in DROPS 218-21. We only work the last part of the front piece where we show how to work 5 garter stitches in the middle, how to place stitches on 1 thread, decrease 1 stitch before / after the 5 middle stitches and how to knit up stitches at the back of the 5 garter stitches at the bottom of the V-neck. We use the number of stitches after the smallest size, but do not have the same numbers of rows between each decrease. This vest is worked in DROPS Alpaca Bouclé and DROPS Kid-Silk but in the video we work with only 1 yarn; DROPS Nepal. How to knit the short row heel in DROPS 131-25

In this DROPS video we show how to knit a separate heel with short rows for the Softstep socks in DROPS 131-25. We have already worked the top of the leg and downwards to where the piece measures 12 cm. Starting from RS: * K 6, turn and K 5 back, inc by K 2 sts in last st on row, turn *, repeat from *-* a total of 4 times. * K 8, turn and K 6 back, dec by K tog the last 2 sts, turn *, repeat from *-* a total of 4 times. Work 1 row over all sts - insert a marker on this row - now measure piece from here. Continue working as follows, starting from WS: * P 6, turn and P 5 back, inc by P 2 sts in last st on row, turn *, repeat from *-* a total of 4 times. * P 8, turn and P 6 back, dec by P tog the last 2 sts, turn *, repeat from *-* a total of 4 times = 18-18-19 sts. How to knit with 2 threads to get a stronger heel - knitting tip

In this DROPS video we show how to get a stronger heel on a sock by knitting with 2 threads. Use strand inside and outside of ball (or use 2 balls) and work 1 stitch alternately with one and the other strand. This way you get a thicker heel without working with double strand. In the video, we already have knitted the rib and put the stitches mid on top of foot on a stitch holder and we show 2 rows where we knit with 2 strands.
