In this DROPS video we show how you can knit stripes in garter st and at the same time short rows.

Knit as follows:
1st row (= RS): Work until 2 sts remain, turn and work back, work until 4 sts remain, turn and work back. Continue like this (work 2 sts less than previous time) until the last 2 sts on needle have been worked back and forth. Knit at the same time the stripes.
Then K two rows (1 ridge) over all sts

DROPS Design :

Bonjour Mme Goehry, tricotez simplement les rangs raccourcis du demi-dos droit comme expliqué: comme ils doivent se faire en début de rang sur l'endroit, glissez les 2 premières m du rang sans les tricoter (souplement pour que le fil ne resserre pas sur l'envers), puis tricotez les mailles jusqu'à la fin, tournez, tricotez le rang suivant jusqu'à ces 2 mailles, tournez, et continuez ainsi en glissant de nouveau les 2 premières mailles sans les tricoter et suffisamment souplement pour que le fil ne resserre pas l'ouvrage. Donc comment on fait pour obtenir le résultat proposé sur la première photo quand les explications données sont dans l autre sens. Pour le modèle cross m'y heart c est très embêtant. Bonjour Mme Goehry, la vidéo correspond bien aux explications qui sont dessous: on tricote 2 m en moins à la fin de chaque rang sur l'endroit puis on tricote 1 côte mousse sur toutes les mailles. Avez-vous vu ces 2 vidéos pour ce modèle? Comment augmenter et comment diminuer? Bon tricot!

Men så går det for alvor galt igen, når man kommer til midterstykket ( det spidse stykke ) i opskriften. Det bliver da absolut IKKE pænt!! Foreløbig har jeg lagt garnet til side til stor frustration, da jeg rigtig gerne vil strikke trøjen. Jeg er ellers ret rutineret strikker, så det irriterer mig voldsomt.

Ich kann mich meiner Vorschreiberin nur anschließen. Für den zweiten Teil kann man diese Art der verkürzen Reihen nicht so umsetzen. Dieses Modell ist wirklich wunderschön, aber ich werde wohl noch etwas rumprobieren müssen bis es so aussieht wie es sein soll. In this DROPS video we show how to decrease while knitting short rows and stripes as on the jackets in DROPS 155-1 and DROPS 158-17. Knit as follows: Slip the first 2 sts loosely over on to right needle, pull yarn behind the 2 sts, work the remaining sts and work back but not over the last 2 sts. Continue like this (slip 2 sts more on to right needle for every time) until 2 sts remain on needle and last row is from WS. How to work a sleeve to a garment with European shoulder with short rows

In this DROPS video we show how to knit up stitches to one sleeve, working short rows, decrease under the sleeve, increase stitches before the rib, switch to smaller needle and a little bit of the cast off (knit over knit, and purl over purl). Insert 1 marker on the top of armhole (NB: This is not where the stitches were knitted up for the front piece, but a few cm down on the front piece, this is the middle of the shoulder). Start in the middle of the new stitches cast on under sleeve and pick up the number of stitches it says in the pattern around the armhole – adjust so that there are the same number of stitches along armhole on each side of the marker. Now work stocking stitch back and forth with short rows over sleeve cap, to give the sleeve a better fit. Then work in the round with decreases under the sleeve. Follow the description in the pattern on how to work short rows, how and how many decreases, how long the sleeve should be and the rib. In this video we work with 2 yarn qualities: DROPS Lima colour no. 9029 sage green and DROPS Kid-Silk colour no. 45 soft mint, needle size 5 mm. How to knit an elevation mid back

In this DROPS video we show how to knit an elevation with short rows. This technique is frequently used in our patterns for pants or in back of neck on jumpers and jackets. In this video we work from beginning of round (= marker / mid back) as follows: K10 sts, turn piece (to avoid holes, we slip first st on return and tighten the thread). K20 st, turn piece, K30 st, turn piece and K40, turn piece. Finally we work one round in stocking st over all sts. We now have an elevation (= more rows) mid back of the piece.
