Beginning of a blanket with stripes.

How to start working the square in DROPS 209-1

Arm knitted blanket

In this DROPS video we show how to arm knit a blanket. We have use 2 strands off DROPS Polaris and cast on 29 sts. Knit 15-17 rows (depending on your gauge). Bindoff, cut and fasten threads. You have a blanket in no time!

How to work the beginning of the bookmark in DROPS Extra 0-1576

In this DROPS video we show how we start working the mouse head to the bookmark “Library Mouse“ in DROPS Extra 0-1576. We have already cast on 4 stitches and divided these stitches between 4 needles. We show round 1 – 4 and round 12 and 13 (where the eyes are knitted). See also video part 2 and part 3 of this bookmark. How to work the ear to the bookmark in DROPS Extra 0-1576

In this DROPS video we show how to work the ear to the bookmark “Library Mouse“ in DROPS Extra 0-1576. Work like this: * Knit 1, 1 yarn over *, work from *-* in the same stitch until you have 15 stitches for the ear. Work short rows back and forth over these stitches as follows: Turn, purl from the wrong side until there is 1 stitch left, turn, tighten the strand, knit from the right side until there is 1 stitch left, turn, tighten the strand, purl from the wrong side until there are 2 stitches left turn, tighten the strand, knit from the right side until there are 2 stitches left, turn. Continue like this back and forth until there are 5 stitches left on each side, turn, purl to the end of the row from the wrong side, turn bind off with knit from the right side, using a double strand and, to avoid the bind-off edge being tight, make 1 yarn over after every 2nd stitch at the same time as you bind off (yarn overs bind off as normal stitches) = 1 stitch left. Continue as described in the text. This bookmark is worked in DROPS Alpaca, but in the video, we work with a thicker yarn; DROPS Snow. How to work the head together to the bookmark in DROPS Extra 0-1576

In this DROPS video we show how to work the head together to the bookmark “Library Mouse“ in DROPS Extra 0-1576. Fill the head with wadding. Knit the first 6 stitches, then divide the stitches between 2 needles, with 12 stitches both on top and underneath the head. Knit 1 stitch from the top together with 1 stitch from underneath the head until all the stitches are knitted together = 12 stitches. Then knit up 1 stitch underneath each of these 12 stitches = 24 stitches. Cut the strand. Change color and divide the 24 stitches on 4 needles and continue working after the description. This bookmark is worked in DROPS Alpaca, but in the video, we work with a thicker yarn; DROPS Snow. You must read the pattern to be able to follow this video properly. How to knit a bookmark with a heart and I-cord

In this DROPS video, we show you how to knit a heart and an I-cord which are used, among other things, for the bookmark pattern Storybook Heart (DROPS Extra 0-1651). We show you how to work a small part of SECTION 1, how SECTION 1 and SECTION 2 are joined, how to decrease stitches and how to begin the I-cord. We use the yarn DROPS Snow in the video.
