Crochet: Simple Flower

This flower can be worked with different number of sts, but the basic principle is the same. In this video we ch 4 and form them into a ring by making 1 sl st in first ch. ROUND 1: * 1 sc in ring, ch 3, * repeat from * - * a total of 3 times and finish with 1 sl st in first sc from beg of round = 3 ch spaces. ROUND 2: Crochet as follows in each ch-space: 1 sl st, 5 dc and 1 sl = 3 leaves. Turn piece - work next round from the back side of the flower. ROUND 3: ch 1, work 1 sc in first sc from round 1, ch 4, 1 sc at the bottom center of the first leaf from round 2, ch 4, 1 sc in next sc from round 1, ch 4, 1 sc at the bottom middle of the next leaf from round 2, ch 4, 1 sc in next sc from round 1, ch 4, 1 sc at the bottom middle of the last leaf from round 2, finish with ch 4 and 1 sl st in the first sc from beg of round = 6 ch-spaces. Turn piece - work next round from the front of flower. ROUND 4: Crochet as follows in each ch-space: 1 sl st, 6 dc and 1 sl st = 6 leaves, fasten off. Flower bouquet in wool yarn

In this DROPS video we have crocheted a bouquet of flowers. We have used different DROPS pattern, knitted a hat that we put over a flower pot and sewn flowers stuck. A good idea is to put the flowers in place with pins before they are sewn on, so you get an overview where one should place the flowers. All flowers have is own video on how they made. Crochet: 17th May flower

In this DROPS video we show how to work a beautiful flower that can be used to decorate on May 17th (Norway's National Day), as decorations on clothes, decorations in the hair, table decorations and much more. Work 6 ch with Color I and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch. ROUND 1: work ch 1, 15 sc around the ring and - READ COLOR CHANGE below - finish with 1 sl st in first ch with Color II. ROUND 2: ch 3, * ch 3, skip 1 sc, 1 dc in next sc *, repeat from * - * the entire round and finish with 3 ch and 1 sl st in 3rd ch in beg of round = 8 ch -loops. ROUND 3: Turn piece, * ch 4, 1 sc in next dc, turn the work, ch 2, 6 dc around ch space, 5 dc around the dc from 2nd round. Lean piece to the right and work 1 sl st in dc from 2nd round * = one petal finished. Turn piece and repeat * - * until there are 8 flower petals. Cut the thread. ROUND 4: Use Color III, fasten with 1 sc in one of the ch space from 2nd round. Work 1 sc around the same ch space, ch 5, * 1 sc around next ch space, 5 ch * repeat *-* the entire round and finish with 1 sl st in 2nd sc on round. = 8 ch spaces, turn the piece. ROUND 5: Work as follows in each ch space: * 1 sc, ch 3, 7 tr, 3 ch and 1 sc *. Repeat from *-* the entire round and finish with 1 sl st in 1st sc in beg of round. COLOR CHANGE: To get a nice transition between the color changes, work last sl st on round with the new color as follows: Insert hook in last ch from beg of round, get the new yarn, make a YO with the new color and pull it through st on hook.

How to crochet many hearts

In this DROPS video we show how to crochet many hearts in the same row, that can be used in a blanket. Cast on a number of stitches divisible with 7 (+ 8) stitches with a main color. You must read the explanation below to be able to follow this video properly. We have cast on 28 LOOSE chain stitches (= 4 whole hearts) + 8 chain stitches = 36 chain stitches. CROCHET INFO: The first double crochet on the row is replaced by 3 chain stitches. ROW 1: Work 1 double crochet in the 4th chain stitch from needle. Work 1 double crochet in each of the 33 next stitches = 34 double crochets, change color (heart color 1) at the last pull through, cut thread and turn piece. ROW 2: (heart row): Work 3 chain stitches, 1 double crochet in the 1st double crochet 2 chain stitches, skip 5 stitches, * in the next double crochet work as follows: 2 double crochets, 1 chain stitch, 2 double crochet, 2 chain stitches, skip 6 stitches *. Repeat * - * 3 more times, but on last repeat skip 5 stitches (instead of 6 stitches) and crochet 2 double crochets in the 3rd chain stitch from previous row. Change to the main color at the last pull through, turn piece. ROW 3: Work 1 chain stitch, 1 single crochet in the 1st double crochet. Now work around the chain stitches in the row below and in the double crochets 2 rows below like this: Skip 1 double crochet 1 row below and 1 double crochet 2 rows below, work 1 double crochet in each of the 2 next double crochets. * Work 2 chain stitches, 1 single crochet around the chain stitch in the heart, 2 chain crochets, skip 2 double crochets in the heart and 2 double crochets from 2 rows below, 1 double crochet in each of the 2 next double crochets, skip 2 double crochets *, repeat *-* 2 more times. Work 2 chain stitches, 1 single crochet around the chain stitch in the heart, 2 chain stitches, skip 2 double crochets from 2 row below, 1 double crochet in each of the 2 next double crochets, 1 chain stitch and 1 single crochet in the 3rd chain stitch from previous row, turn piece. ROW 4: Work 3 chain stitches, 1 double crochet in the next chain stitch, 1 double crochet in each of the 2 next double crochet. * work 2 double crochets around the next chain stitches, 1 double crochet in the next single crochet, 2 double crochet around the next chain stitches, 1 double crochets in each of the next 2 double crochets *, repeat * - * 3 more times. Finish with 2 double crochets in the last stitch and change color (heart color 2) in the last pull through, turn piece and cut the thread. Repeat row 2 - 4 to the desired length. We work with the yarn DROPS Snow from Garnstudio in the video and we have use DROPS Cotton Merion from Garnstudio from in the little piece.

Strawberry pattern - crochet

When making our sample we followed the chart in DROPS pattern 152-38 In this DROPS Video we show how to do so. With red work 14 loose ch (multiple of 6 + 2, i.e for each additional strawberry you add 6 ch work A.2 one more time). Row 1 (= WS): Work A.1, then A.2 and finish with A.3. When last sc on row has been worked, cut the yarn. Turn piece. Row 2 (= RS): Switch to green and make a sl st, ch 5, continue with A.3, then A.2 and finish with A.1. Cut the yarn. Row 3: Switch to red and make a sl st, ch 3. Continue with pattern A.1, then A.2 and finish with A.3. When last dc on row has been worked, cut the yarn. Row 4: Switch to green and make a sl st, ch 3. Continue with pattern A.3, A.2 and A.1 the entire row as before. When the last 4 dc on row have been worked into 1 dc, cut the yarn. Row 5: Switch to red and make a sl st, ch 1. How to crochet a waffle pattern

In this DROPS video we show you how to crochet an easy waffle pattern. This pattern can be used in for example cloths, pot holders or blankets. Start by chaining a row with a number of stitches multiple with 3 + 4. In the video we chain a row with 15+4. Work 19 chain stitch. Row 1: Work 1 double crochet in the 2nd chain stitch from the hook, 1 double crochet in each of the next 17 chain stitch, 2 chain stitch and turn. Row 2: Work 1 double crochet in the 1st / next double crochet, 1 double crochet around the double crochet from the last row, and then 1 double crochet in each of the 2 next double crochet , repeat - until there is 1 stitch left, finish with 1 double crochet in the 2nd chain stitch. Work 2 chain stitch and turn. Row 3: Work 1 double crochet in the 1st / next double crochet, 1 double crochet around each of the 2 next double crochet from the last row repeat -, until there is 1 stitch left, finish with 1 double crochet in the 2nd chain stitch.
