How to crochet a simple, but nice edge with Buttonhole stitches
In this DROPS video we show how to crochet a simple, but nice edge with buttonhole stitches. Crochet the edge with a different color. We have already crocheted a swap with double crochet and started with 3 double crochet with the new color.
* Insert the hook into the stitch in the row right below, yarn over and pull it through, slightly loose. Insert the hook through the next stitch, but 2 rows below, yarn over and pull it through, slightly loose. Insert the hook into the next stitch in the row below, yarn over and pull it through, slightly loose = 4 loops on hook. Yarn over and pull the thread through all 4 loops = a group of buttonholes stitches.
Work 1 double crochet in the next stitch (the stitch above the last worked stitch), work 1 double crochet in each of the next 2 stitches *. Repeat *-*.
We use the yarn DROPS Snow in the video.
