Hei Jytte. Det betyr 720 gram Eskimo ialt (med 2 tråder ). Polaris er kun 18 meter pr 50 gram, mens Eskimo er 50 meter pr 50 gram.

Monica

Buon lavoro!

I love your patterns but rarely knit them because I can't follow charts- my eyes get fuzzy trying to read them. Will you ever write the pattern with written instructions also?

Hi Sandra! It happens sometimes, especially if the pattern is very complicated. If you want to learn how to read patterns please see two of our lessons: How to read knitting diagrams and How to read crochet diagrams. I strongly recommend to try some DROPS-Along.
01.04.2019 - 11:53DROPS Design answered:
Hei My.

Knitted DROPS poncho with twined string in the neck, worked top down in ”Polaris”. Size: S - XXXL.
DROPS 173-32 |
|
INCREASE TIP: Inc 1 st on each side of st with marker Inc by making 1 YO. On next round K the YOs to make holes. TIP FOR CHANGING YARN: When switching ball with Polaris, split the old strand in two on the last 15 cm / 6'' – cut off one part, do the same on the new strand. Place the first and last 15 cm / 6'' on top of each other so that the yarn is the normal thickness and continue to work – this is done to make the strand switch invisible in the yarn. ---------------------------------------------------------- PONCHO: Worked in the round on circular needle, top down. Beg round = in the side. Cast on 46-48-50-52-54-56 sts on circular needle size 15 mm / US 19 with medium gray. P 1 round and K 1 round. Then work an eyelet row to thread the twined string through as follows: * 1 YO, K 2 tog *, repeat from *-* the entire round. K 1 round while insert 1 marker in 12th-12th-13th-13th-14th-14th st and in 35th-36th-38th-39th-41st-42nd st on needle (= mid front and mid back). Continue in the round in stockinette st and inc 1 st on each side of K st with marker mid front and mid back – READ INCREASE TIP (= 4 sts inc). Inc like this every other round until piece measures 56-58-60-62-64-66 cm / 22''-22¾''-23 5/8''-24 3/8''-25¼''-26'' measured from the neck and along mid st at the front. REMEMBER KNITTING GAUGE AND READ TIP FOR CHANGING YARN. Switch to dark gray. Continue inc mid front and mid back for 2 more round. Loosely bind off with K while AT THE SAME TIME inc mid front and mid back as before (bind off the inc sts as regular sts). Piece measures 58-60-62-64-66-68 cm / 22¾''-23 5/8''-24 3/8''-25¼''-26''-26¾'' measured from the neck and along mid st at the front. TWINED STRING: Cut 2 lengths of 4 metres/4.25 yds each with dark gray. Twine the strands tog until they resist, fold the string double so that it twines again. Make a knot at each end. Beg mid front on poncho and thread tie up and down through eyelet row. |
