Hi. Finished hat! Is there something you did for finishing to make the brim less floppy? Blocking or starch? Thanks again
13.04.2020 - 21:33DROPS Design answered:
Dear Leanne, first of all, you should crochet the hat really thight. Then a thin wire in teh brim can help with the floppiness. I would use the strach as thelast resort, bevause an wetness can make teh effect go away. Happy Crafting!

Bon crochet!

Hi. To do the swatch it says “ DROPS CROCHET HOOK size 3.5 mm/E/4 – or size needed to get 18 sc/hdc = width 10 cm / 4''.” I’m not sure if that means alternating rows of sc/hdc? Also, am using the yarn that was suggested but the yarn itself recommended using a 5.5 hook not a 3.5? Thanks
23.03.2020 - 19:00DROPS Design answered:
Hi Leanne, The swatch can either consist of sc or hdc for your width measurement. This pattern uses hook size 3.5 mm, which gives you a tighter, thicker finish. Happy crocheting!

I'm finding it impossible to twine 8 meters of yarn! I'm doing exactly as in the video. Is it possible that the measurement is wrong? Thank you,
31.05.2019 - 11:53DROPS Design answered:
Dear Anna, it can be a bit tricky with so long strands, but it finally should work. The length of the yarn required to get the twisted string depend on how hard you twist and what quality you use. Can be an idea to make a test.

Hi! So I'm interested in making the hat. But if I am unable to get the recommended yarn, would Light Weight Simply Soft Yarn 50% Cotton 50% Polyestser yarn work? Thanks!
17.05.2019 - 09:09DROPS Design answered:
Dear Kaity, you should knit a swatch and check your tension with the indicated one. You can find any personal assistance from your favourite DROPS store. Happy crafting!
