BUTTONHOLE: Dec for buttonholes on left band. 1 buttonhole = K tog second and third st from edge and make 1 YO. NOTE: Dec for last buttonhole when 2 rows remain on band. Dec for buttonholes when piece measures: SIZE S: 4, 12, 20, 28 and 36 cm / 1½", 4¾", 8", 11" and 14¼" SIZE M: 4, 13, 21, 30 and 38 cm / 1½", 5⅛", 8¼", 11¾" and 15" SIZE L: 4, 13, 22, 31 and 39 cm / 1½", 5⅛", 8¼", 12¼" and 15¼" SIZE XL: 4, 14, 23, 32 and 41 cm / 1½", 5½", 9", 12½" and 16⅛" SIZE XXL: 4, 14, 23, 33 and 42 cm / 1½", 5½", 9", 13" and 16½" SIZE XXXL: 4, 14, 24, 34 and 44 cm / 1½", 5½", 9½", 13⅜" and 17¼" ---------------------------------------------------------- RIGHT BACK PIECE: Worked back and forth on circular needle. REMEMBER THE GAUGE! When piece measures 30-31-32-33-34-35 cm / 11¾"-12¼"-12½"-13"-13⅜"-13¾", bind off 1 st to mark the armhole at beg of next row from RS. When piece measures 37-39-40-42-43-45 cm / 14½"-15¼"-15¾"-16½"-17"-17¾", bind off 9-9-9-10-10-10 sts towards mid back for neck. Continue to bind off at beg of every row from WS for neck: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 2 times and 1 st 1 time = 29-32-35-38-43-48 sts remain on shoulder. Switch to circular needle size 4.5 mm / US 7 when piece measures approx. 44-46-48-50-52-54 cm / 17¼"-18"-19"-19¾"-20½"-21¼" (make sure that last stripe worked is in Cotton Viscose), and then work 1 ridge with Paris. Bind off, piece measures approx. 45-47-49-51-53-55 cm / 17¾"-18"-19¼"-20"-21"-21⅝". LEFT BACK PIECE: Work as right back piece but reversed. In addition dec for BUTTONHOLES on band - see explanation above. FRONT PIECE: Worked back and forth on circular needle. Cast on 86-92-98-106-116-126 sts (includes 1 edge st in each side) on circular needle size 4.5 mm / US 7 with 1 strand Paris. Work 2 ridges in GARTER ST - see explanation above. Switch to circular needle size 5.5 mm / US 9 and work in stockinette st with 1 edge st in garter st in each side – at the same time work stripes. When piece measures 30-31-32-33-34-35 cm / 11¾"-12¼"-12½"-13"-13⅜"-13¾", bind off 1 st to mark the armholes at beg of the next 2 rows = 84-90-96-104-114-124 sts. When piece measures 37-39-40-42-43-45 cm / 14½"-15¼"-15¾"-16½"-17"-17¾", bind off the middle 10-10-10-12-12-12 sts for neck and finish each shoulder separately. Then bind off at beg of every row from neck: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 2 times and 1 st 1 time = 29-32-35-38-43-48 sts remain on shoulder. Switch to circular needle size 4.5 mm / US 7 when piece measures approx. 44-46-48-50-52-54 cm / 17¼"-18"-19"-19¾"-20½"-21¼" (last stripe should be worked in Cotton Viscose), and then work 1 ridge with Paris. Bind off, piece measures approx. 45-47-49-51-53-55 cm / 17¾"-18"-19¼"-20"-21"-21⅝". SLEEVE: Worked back and forth on circular needle. Cast on 36-38-40-42-42-44 sts (includes 1 edge st in each side) on circular needle size 4.5 mm / US 7 with 1 strand Paris. Work 2 ridges. Switch to circular needle size 5.5 mm / US 9 and continue in stockinette st with 1 edge st in garter st in each side – at the same time work stripes. When piece measures 8-8-8-7-7-7 cm / 3⅛"-3⅛"-3⅛"-2¾"-2¾"-2¾", inc 1 st in each side. Repeat inc every 6½-5½-5-4½-3½-3 cm / 2½"-2¼"-2"-1¾"-1¼"-1⅛" 5-6-6-7-8-9 more times = 48-52-54-58-60-64 sts. When piece measures approx. 45-44-43-42-40-37 cm / 17¾"-17¼"-17"-16½"-15¾"-14½" (shorter measurements in the larger sizes because of wider shoulders) - make sure that last stripe is worked in Cotton Viscose, switch to circular needle size 4.5 mm / US 7 and work 1 ridge with Paris. Bind off, piece measures approx. 46-45-44-43-41-38 cm / 18"-17¾"-17¼"-17"-16⅛"-15". ASSEMBLY: Sew the shoulder seams. NECK EDGE: Pick up approx. 95 to 105 sts with circular needle size 4.5 mm / US 7. K 4 rows with Paris and bind off with K from WS. Sew in sleeves. Sew sleeve and side seams in one inside 1 edge st. Sew on buttons. |
