Hi id like to use DROPS Alpaca Bouclé instead of the melody for the jumper. i like the look of it better can you advise on if this is possible the melody has no brown colour for this pattern on your page which makes melody pointless asa replacement as they dont have brown in melody
01.07.2020 - 18:28DROPS Design answered:
Dear Heather, Alpaca Bouclé wouldn't be an alternative to this pattern but you could work instead with 2 strands Brushed Alpaca Silk - try our yarn converter to find more alternatives. Happy knitting!

Marking Thread (MT)??? what is marking thread???
07.02.2020 - 19:55DROPS Design answered:
Dear Heather, marking thread is just a piece of leftover yarn used as stitchmarkers. Sometimes they are used in addition to markers to differentiate between places where you need to do different things in a piece, but generally you can use stitchmarkers in their place, but make sure, you move the markers up as your piece grows. Happy Knitting!

07.02.2020 - 17:40DROPS Design answered:
Dear Heather, though we cannot possibly go over all of our patterns (as we have about 10 thousand patterns ), we continuously updating old ones with the possible yarn substitutions. Also we have a yarn converter on our site that could help choosing a newer DROPS yarn that could be used in place of a discontinued yarn. Furtermore, our yarns are grouped into yarngroups, and most of the time, it is possible to substitute yarns within the same yarngroup. If you still have problem, you can always ask for help in person in the yarn store you are buying your DROPS yarn from. Happy Knitting!

Hello, I am wondering if there is an option to make this longer? I like the look of it, but was looking for a longer style. If not, do you have a pattern you would recommend?
31.01.2019 - 15:43DROPS Design answered:
Dear Camella, you probably can make it longer starting decrease later than in the pattern. We are unfortunately not able to adjust every pattern to every single request, you can take inspiration from our patterns for ponchos and request assistance from your DROPS store, even per mail or telephone.
