Pozdrawiamy!

DROPS short-sleeved top with wide rib edges and raglan sleeve in “Muskat”
DROPS 101-14 |
|
Knitting tip: If your knitting gauge doesn’t match vertically and is too tight, the raglan will be too short and the armhole too small. You may compensate for this by knitting random rounds without dec when dec for raglan. Garter st, back and forth on needle: Knit all rows Rib: *K4, P4*, repeat from *-*. Buttonholes: Make 4 buttonholes on right front band + 1 buttonhole on neckline. Make buttonholes when front band measures 2.5 cm / ⅞". 1 buttonhole: bind off the 2 middle sts in P section and cast on 2 new sts on return row. Distribute the buttonholes in the P sections (counted from bottom edge) as follows: Bind off for button holes in following P sections numbers ( seen from bottom edge) Size S: 1, 4, 7 and 9 cm Size M: 1, 4, 7 and 10 cm Size L: 1, 4, 7 and 10 cm Size XL: 1, 4, 8 and 11 cm Size XXL: 1, 4, 8 and 11 cm Decreasing tip (apply to raglan): All dec done from the RS. Beg 2 sts before marker: K2 tog, K1 (marker is in this st), slip 1 st as if to knit, K1, psso. Back and front piece: Knitted back and forth on circular needle from mid front. Cast on 156-172-188-212-236 sts on circular needle size 3.5 mm / US 4. Insert a marking thread 38-42-46-52-58 sts in from each side (= 80-88-96-108-120 sts on back piece). Knit Rib as follows: 4 garter sts, *K4, P4*, repeat from *-* and finish with K4 and 4 garter sts. When Rib measures 6 cm / 2⅜" knit 2 rows garter sts on all sts. Change to circular needle size 4 mm / US 6 and continue in stockinette st. When piece measures 8-9-10-11-12 cm inc 1 st on each side of both markers (4 inc per row) repeat on every 6 cm / 2⅜" a total of 4 times = 172-188-204-228-252 sts. When piece measures 32-33-34-35-36 cm bind off 4 sts on each side of both markers for armholes = 38-42-46-52-58 sts on each front piece and 80-88-96-108-120 sts on back piece. Put the piece aside and knit the sleeves. Sleeves: Knitted back and forth on needle. Cast on 74-74-82-82-90 sts (includes 1 edge st each side) on needle size 3.5 mm / US 4. Knit 4.5 cm Rib - see explanation above with 1 edge st each side. Now bind off 4 sts each side = 66-66-74-74-82 sts and knit 2 rows garter sts, at the same time adjusting no of sts on first row to 62-66-70-74-80. Put the piece aside and knit the other sleeve. Yoke: Put sleeves in on the same circular needle as front and back pieces where you bound off for armholes = 280-304-328-360-396 sts on needle. Insert a marker in all transitions between body pieces and sleeves = 4 markers (insert marker in first st on sleeve). Continue in stockinette st and knit 1-1-0-1-2 rows before dec for raglan as follows (see Decreasing tip above- 8 dec per row): on every 4th row a total of 5-4-4-3-0 times and then on every other row a total of 8-11-13-16-22 times. At the same time when piece measures 41-43-45-47-49 cm bind off for neck each side on every other row: 4 sts a total of 4 times. After all dec for raglan and neck are complete = 144-152-160-176-188 sts left. Leave sts on needle. Front band: Pick up 76-84-84-92-92 sts along right front piece on needle size 3.5 mm / US 4. Note! Do not pick up sts on rib edge. Knit 2 rows garter sts and continue in Rib as follows from bottom edge: 4 garter sts, *P4, K4*, repeat from *-* a total of 9-10-10-11-11 times. At the same time when rib measures 2.5 cm / ⅞" make buttonholes as described above. Bind off when front band measures 5 cm / 2". Repeat along left front piece, but do not make buttonholes. Neckline: Pick up approx 30 sts on each neckline (also pick up sts on front bands) on needle size 3.5 mm / US 4 = approx 204-212-220-236-248 sts. Knit 2 rows garter st, at the same time adjusting no of sts on first row to 188-196-204-212-212. Continue as follows: 4 garter sts, *K4, P4*, repeat from *-* and finish with K4 and 4 garter sts. When neckline measures 3 cm / 1⅛" make a buttonhole in the first P section on the right side (in line with the others on front band) – see instruction under Buttonholes above. Bind off when neckline measures 5 cm / 2". Crochet button cover: Crochet cover for 5 buttons with crochet hook size 3 mm / C as follows: 1st round: ch 2, 6 sc in the first ch and finish with 1 sl st in first sc. 2nd round: ch 1, 2 sc in each sc and finish with 1 sl st in sc from beg of round (= 12 sc) 3rd + 4th round: ch 1, 1 sc in each sc and finish with 1 sl st in first sc from beg of round (= 12 sc) 5th round: ch 1, 1 sc in every other sc and finish with 1 sl in first sc from beg of round (= 6 sc) Put button inside cover, sew round the opening and pull tight. Assembly: Sew sleeve seams inside 1 edge st and sew openings under arms. Sew on buttons. |
