Ch 2 and then crochet 6 sc in the first of the 2 ch and finish round with a sl st in the first sc (= 1st round). Make sure to place a marker in 1st sc on each round.
2nd round: ch 1, crochet 2 sc in each sc and finish with a sl st at beg of round (= 12 sc)
3rd + 4th round: ch 1, 1 sc in each sc and finish with a sl st at beg. of round (= 12 sc).
5th round: ch 1, crochet 1 sc in every other sc and finish with a sl st at beg. of round (= 6 sc).
Put the button inside the cover, sew around and pull tight.

In this DROPS video we show how to get a straight line running down the beginning/the end of the rounds. Work in the round alternately from the right and wrong side, turning the piece after each round. We also work the piece in stripes and to get a neat transition when changing colours, we work the slip stitch at the end of the round in the new colour.
