Ch 2 and then crochet 6 sc in the first of the 2 ch and finish round with a sl st in the first sc (= 1st round). Make sure to place a marker in 1st sc on each round.
2nd round: ch 1, crochet 2 sc in each sc and finish with a sl st at beg of round (= 12 sc)
3rd + 4th round: ch 1, 1 sc in each sc and finish with a sl st at beg. of round (= 12 sc).
5th round: ch 1, crochet 1 sc in every other sc and finish with a sl st at beg. of round (= 6 sc).
Put the button inside the cover, sew around and pull tight.

In this DROPS video we show how to get a straight line running down the beginning/the end of the rounds. Work in the round alternately from the right and wrong side, turning the piece after each round.
