Hejsan!

HAT: Knitting gauge: 11 sts x 15 rows on needles size 8 mm / US 11 in stockinette sts = 10 x 10 cm / 4" x 4". Rib: *K2, P2*, repeat from *-*. Earflap: Cast on 4-4-5 sts on needle size 8 mm / US 11 with rose. Knit 1 row from the wrong side, continue in stockinette sts with 1 edge st in garter st each side. At the same time inc 1 st each side from the right side by making a yo within the edge st. On next row purl the yo into back of st to avoid creating a hole. Inc on every other row a total of 4 times = 12-12-13 sts. Continue in stockinette sts and 1 edge st in garter sts each side until earflap measures 6-7- 8 cm / 2½"-2¾"-3". Put the piece aside and knit another earflap. Hat: Put one earflap on needle size 8 mm / US 11. Cast on 8-10-11 new sts (= back) and put the other earflap on needle = 32-34-37 sts. Work next row as follows (RS): K1 (= edge st), K10-10-11 sts, P10-12-13 sts, K10-10-11 sts and K1 (= edge st). Work next row as follows (WS): K1 (= edge st), P30-32-35 sts and K1 (= edge st). Continue in stockinette sts on all sts and 1 edge st each side in garter sts. At the same time inc 1 st each side as described for earflap a total 2 times = 36-38-41 sts. On next row cast on 12-14-15 new sts between earflaps at the front = 48-52-56 sts. Measure piece from here from now on! Continue in the round on double pointed needles size 8 mm / US 11 as follows: On the first round purl the 12-14-15 new sts mid front (the other sts in stockinette sts) and continue in stockinette sts over all sts. When piece measures 3-3.5-4 cm / 1"-1¼"-1½" work 5-5-6 rounds in Rib and then finish the piece in stockinette sts. When piece measures 10-12-14 cm / 4"-4¾"-5½", dec 5-5-6 sts evenly on round, repeat on every other round a total of 4 times and then 5-6-6 sts evenly on every round a total of 4 times = 8 sts left. Cut the yarn, pull it through remaining sts and fasten. The hat measures approx 17-19-21 cm / 6¾"-7½"-8¼" from mid front to the top. Sew diagonal sts at bottom edge with plum – each st should cover approx 2 cm / ¾" in the length and 4 cm / 1½" in the height. Braids: Cut 12 strands in plum measuring 80 cm / 32" each. Fold strands double, pull the loop through cast on row on one earflap and pull the ends through loop. Separate the strands into 3 sections and braid loosely. Tie a knot at the end – the braid measures approx 20 cm / 8". Repeat for other earflap. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- SCARF: Knitting gauge: 16 sts x 13 rows on needles size 10 mm / US 15 in Rib = 10 x 10 cm / 4" x 4". Rib: *K4, P4*, repeat from *-*. Cast on 22-26-30 sts on needle size 10 mm / US 15 with rose. Work Rib with 1 edge st each side in garter sts. Work 6 stripes measuring 20-24-28 cm / 8"-9½"-11" each in the following color order: rose, plum, beige, rose, plum, beige. Bind off loosely in Rib. The scarf measures approx 120-144-168 cm / 47"-56½"-66". ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- GLOVES: Knitting gauge: 23 sts x 32 rounds on needles size 3 mm / US 2or3 in stockinette sts = 10 x 10 cm / 4" x 4". Rib: *K1, P1*, repeat from *-*. Pattern: See diagram M.1. The diagram shows the pattern from the right side. Cast on 48-54-60 sts on double pointed needles size 2.5 mm / US 1 with Karisma and work 4 cm / 1½" Rib. Change to double pointed needles size 3 mm / US 2or3 and knit 1 round in stockinette sts and dec 8 sts evenly on round = 40-46-52 sts. Work next round as follows: 3-4-6 sts in stockinette sts, diagram M.1 (=16 sts), 3-4-6 sts in stockinette sts (= 22-24-28 sts = upper hand), 1 st in stockinette st for thumb (insert a marker in this st), 17-21-23 sts in stockinette sts (= 18-22-24 sts = palm of hand). Measure glove from here from now on! When piece measures 1-1.5-2 cm / ⅜"-½"-¾" increase 1 st on each side of the thumb st, repeat on every other round a total of 5-6-7 times = 50-58-66 sts – work increased sts in stockinette sts. After the last increase, put the 11-13-15 thumb sts on holder. On next round, cast on 1 new st over these = 40-46-52 sts. Continue until piece measures 7-9-10 cm / 2¾"-3½"-4". Put the 22-24-28 sts for upper hand on a holder = holder 1, and the 18-22-24 sts for palm of hand on another holder = holder 2. Now work the fingers on double pointed needles size 2.5 mm / US 1: Little finger: Take 4-5-6 sts from holder 1, and 3-4-5 sts from holder 2, and cast on 3 new sts towards ring finger) = 10-12-14 sts. Work stockinette sts until finger measures 3-4-5 cm / 1⅛"-1½"-2", on next round K2 tog around. Cut and pull yarn through remaining sts. Ring finger: Take 5-5-7 sts from holder 1, and 3-4-5 sts from holder 2, and cast on 2 new sts towards middle finger and 2 sts towards little finger = 13-14-17 sts. Work stockinette sts until finger measures 5-6-7 cm / 2"-2⅜"-2¾", on next round K2 tog around. Cut and pull yarn through remaining sts. Middle finger: Take 6-6-7 sts from holder 1, and 5-6-6 sts from holder 2, and cast on 2 new sts towards index finger and 2 sts towards ring finger = 15-16-17 sts. Work until finger measures 6-7-8 cm / 2⅜"-2¾"-3", on next round K2 tog around. Cut and pull yarn through remaining sts. Index finger: Take 7-8-8 sts from holder 1, and 6-7-7 sts from holder 2, and cast on 2 new sts towards middle finger = 15-17-17 sts. Work until finger measures 4.5-5.5-6.5 cm / 1¼"-2¼"-2½", on next round K2 tog around and pull yarn through remaining sts. Thumb: Put the 11-13-15 thumb sts back on needle and cast on 3 new sts behind these = 14-16-18 sts. Work 3.5-4.5-5.5 cm / 1¼"-1¾"-2¼" in stockinette sts, K2 tog around and finish off as on the other fingers. Work another glove, but mirrored. |
