Betr. angegebene Maschenprobe 28x 38... Fehlerteufelchen ??

- Is it correct that the first and second increase rounds are not separated by a round without increases? - \"Increase every other round as explained above until 8 increases have been done in total\" -> if I count correctly I will increase 16 sts in total and will have 18+16=34 sts for the heel instead of 38 heelstitches as written? Please clarify

Hi Clara. We will ask the design-team to have a look at this.

---------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATION FOR THE PATTERN: ---------------------------------------------------------- DECREASE TIP: Begin 3 stitches before marker, knit 2 together, knit 2 (marker is between these 2 stitches), slip 1 stitch knitwise, knit 1, pass slipped stitch over stitch worked (= 2 stitches decreased). ---------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ---------------------------------------------------------- SOCKS - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: Piece is worked from the leg down towards toe and work in the round on double pointed needles. To make room for the heel increase more stitches towards the heel while at the same time working the sock, and when the width and length of the heel is reached, decrease heel stitches while working piece towards the toe. Increases and decreases form a square at the back of sock. When desired length is reached finish by working the toe. LEG: Cast on 64-68-72 stitches on double pointed needles size 2.5 MM = US 1.5 with DROPS Fabel. Work rib in the round (= purl 2/knit 2) for 17-18-19 cm = 6¾"-7"-7½". Remember to follow the knitting gauge! Now work heel and foot as explained below. HEEL AND FOOT: Now increase stitches for heel on each side of 18 stitches mid under foot. Work heel stitches in stockinette stitch and work the remaining stitches in rib as before. Insert 1 marker between the first 2 purl stitches on round - this marker should follow the piece onwards = mid under foot. 1ST INCREASE: Work until 9 stitches remain before marker, and increase 1 stitch by using left needle to pick up strand between 2 stitches from previous round, pick up the strand from the front and knit stitch in loop behind the needle, work 18 stitches in stockinette stitch (marker is n the middle of these stitches) use left needle to pick up strand between 2 stitches from previous round, pick up strand from behind and knit in loop in front of needle (= 2 stitches increased). Work the rest of round (until marker = mid under foot). Next round: Work rib and stockinette stitch, finish when 10 stitches remain before marker - now increase again as explained below. 2ND INCREASE: Use left needle to pick up strand between 2 stitches from previous round, pick up the strand from the front and knit stitch in loop behind the needle, knit 20 (marker is n the middle of these stitches) use left needle to pick up strand between 2 stitches from previous round, pick up strand from behind and knit in loop in front of needle (= 2 stitches increased). Work the rest of round (until marker = mid under foot). INCREASE ONWARDS: Increase every other round as explained above until 8 increases have been done in total, there are 2 stitches more in stockinette stitch mid under foot for every increase = 80-84-88 stitches on round and 38-38-38 stitches in stockinette stitch mid under foot (= heel stitches). Work 1 round over all stitches with rib and stockinette stitch as before without increase, finish round mid under foot. Insert 1 measuring marker in the middle of heel stitches on this round- important – this measuring marker is used to measure the foot length, i.e. do not move this marker when working. 1ST DECREASE: Now decrease for heel under foot. Next round: Work in stockinette stitch and rib until 19 stitches remain before marker, slip 1 stitch knitwise, knit 1, pass slipped stitch over stitch worked, knit 34-34-34 (marker mid under foot is in the middle of these stitches in stockinette stitch), knit 2 together (= 2 stitches decreased). Work the rest of round (until marker = mid under foot). Next round: Work rib and stockinette stitch, finish when 18-18-18 stitches remain before marker - now decrease again as explained below. 2ND DECREASE: Slip 1 stitch knitwise, knit 1, pass slipped stitch over, work 28-28-28 stitches in stockinette stitch (marker is in the middle of these stitches), knit 2 together (= 2 stitches decreased). Work the rest of round (until marker = mid under foot). DECREASE ONWARDS: Decrease every other round as explained above until 12-12-12 decreases have been done in total; there are 2 stitches less in stockinette stitch mid under foot for every decrease = 56-60-64 stitches. Continue in stockinette stitch over the 14-14-14 stitches under foot and rib as before over the remaining stitches. Work until piece measures 17-17½-20 cm = 6¾"-6⅞"-8" from marker on heel, measured under foot. 5-6-6 cm = 2"-2⅜"-2⅜" remain until finished measurements, try the sock on for desired length before decreasing for toes as explained below. TOE: Work 2 rounds in stockinette stitch. Insert 1 marker in each side of sock so that there are 28-30-32 stitches both on top of foot and under foot (= 2 markers). Work in stockinette stitch, AT THE SAME TIME on first round decrease for toes on each side of both markers – read DECREASE TIP (= 4 stitches decreased). Decrease like this every other round 6-8-9 times in total and then on every round 5-4-4 times in total = 12 stitches remain. Cut the yarn and pull yarn through stitches, tighten together and fasten. The sock measures approx. 22-23½-26 cm = 8¾"-9⅛"-10¼" from marker on heel – measured under foot. As the heel will stretch in use, work the sock 2-2½-3 cm = ¾"-1"-1⅛" shorter than foot measurements. |
