A.1, dann : 3 M glatt, 1 Umschlag, 1 M re, 1 Umschlag, 1 M re (2 Zunahmen = 9 M in A.1). Kann das Ihnen helfen?

Please reconsider the way you make your patterns. They are overly complicated for no reason. Instructions for one knitting step are scattered in 3 places in the patterns. Confusing and not practical at all.

09.01.2026 - 00:54DROPS Design answered:
Liebe Yvonne, ja genau, jetzt stricken Sie nur glatt ohne weitere Zunahme, dh ohne A.2 nur A.3 bis die Passe 21 cm misst. Viel Spaß beim Stricken!

I started S size 3 times and there is always 4stiches more than needed for yoke. Now i counted the stiches for yoke fpr the first time and yes... 104 stiches needed, not 108 as stated in the instructions. I noticed the same problem for xs as well. Please check. :)

------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN: ------------------------------------------------------- PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 to A.3. RAGLAN: The increases for raglan are shown in the diagrams. On the next round work the yarn overs as follows: BEFORE RAGLAN-STITCH: Slip the yarn over off the left needle and replace it the other way round (insert the left needle through the back when replacing it). Knit the front loop to avoid a hole. Then work the new stitch in stockinette stitch. AFTER RAGLAN-STITCH: Knit through the back loop to avoid a hole. Then work the new stitch in stockinette stitch. SLEEVE TIP: When knitting up stitches under the sleeve, you can get a small hole in the transition between stitches on the body and sleeve. This hole can be closed by picking up the strand between 2 stitches and working this strand twisted together with the first stitch between body and sleeve. DECREASE TIP: Decrease 1 stitch on each side of the marker-thread as follows: Work until there are 3 stitches left before the marker-thread, knit 2 together, knit 2 (marker-thread sits between these 2 stitches), slip 1 stitch knit-wise, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch (2 stitches decreased). ------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- SWEATER – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: The pattern uses both long and short needles; start with the length which fits the number of stitches and change when necessary. The neck and yoke are worked in the round with circular needle, top down and from approx. mid-back. When the yoke is finished, it is divided for the body and sleeves and the body continued in the round, while the sleeves wait. The sleeves are worked top down, in the round. If there is a «0» in your chosen size, skip the information and go straight to the next instruction. NECK: Cast on 104-108-112-116-124-128-132 stitches with circular needle size 3 MM = US 2.5 and DROPS Merino Extra Fine or DROPS Puna. Work rib in the round (knit 1, purl 1) for 2-2-2-3-3-3-4 cm = ¾"-¾"-¾"-1⅛"-1⅛"-1⅛"-1½". Insert 1 marker at the beginning of the round; the piece is now measured from here. YOKE: Change to circular needle size 4 MM = US 6. Insert 4 markers without working the stitches and each marker is inserted into a knitted stitch (raglan-stitches). You increase for raglan on each side of the raglan-stitches. Count 16-18-18-18-20-20-22 stitches (approx. half the back piece), insert marker-1 in the next stitch, count 17-17-17-17-19-19-19 stitches (= sleeve), insert marker-2 in the next stitch, count 33-35-37-39-41-43-45 stitches (= front piece), insert marker-3 in the next stitch, count 17-17-17-17-19-19-19 stitches (= sleeve), insert marker-4 in the next stitch, there are 17-17-19-21-21-23-23 stitches left after the last marker (approx. half the back piece). Work stockinette stitch in the round and increase for RAGLAN – read explanation above, working as follows: ROUND 1: Knit to 2 stitches before marker-1, work A.1, knit to 2 stitches before marker-2, work A.1, knit to 2 stitches before marker-3, work A.1, knit to 2 stitches before marker-4, work A.1, knit to beginning of round (= 8 increased stitches). ROUND 2: Knit and continue A.1 – remember to work the yarn overs as described under RAGLAN. ROUND 3: Knit to 3 stitches before marker-1, work A.1, knit to 3 stitches before marker-2, work A.1, knit to 3 stitches before marker-3, work A.1, knit to 3 stitches before marker-4, work A.1, knit to beginning of round (= 8 increased stitches). ROUND 4: Knit and continue A.1 – remember to work the yarn overs as described under RAGLAN. Work ROUNDS 1 to 4 a total of 6-8-10-10-9-10-9 times, A.1 has been worked 6-8-10-10-9-10-9 times in height (24-32-40-40-36-40-36 rounds worked) = 200-236-272-276-268-288-276 stitches. Remember to maintain the knitting gauge. Now increase for raglan as follows: ROUND 1: Knit to 2 stitches before marker-1, work A.2, knit to 2 stitches before marker-2, work A.3, knit to 2 stitches before marker-3, work A.2, knit to 2 stitches before marker-4, work A.3, knit to beginning of round (= 4 increased stitches). ROUND 2: Knit and continue A.2/A.3 – remember to work the yarn overs as described under RAGLAN. ROUND 3: Knit to 3 stitches before marker-1, work A.2, knit to 2 stitches before marker-2, work A.3, knit to 3 stitches before marker-3, work A.2, knit to 2 stitches before marker-4, work A.3, knit to beginning of round (= 8 increased stitches). ROUND 4: Knit and continue A.2/A.3 – remember to work the yarn overs as described under RAGLAN. Work ROUNDS 1 to 4 a total of 7-6-5-6-8-8-11 times, A.2/A.3 has been worked 7-6-5-6-8-8-11 times in height (28-24-20-24-32-32-44 rounds worked = 7-6-5-6-8-8-11 increases in height on the sleeves and 14-12-10-12-16-16-22 increases in height on the front and back pieces) = 284-308-332-348-364-384-408 stitches. All increases for raglan are finished. A total of 26-28-30-32-34-36-40 increases in height on the front and back pieces and 19-22-25-26-26-28-29 increases in height on the sleeves. Continue with stockinette stitch, without further increases, until the yoke measures 21-22-24-25-25-27-29 cm = 8¼"-8¾"-9½"-9¾"-9¾"-10⅝"-11⅜" from the marker mid-back. Now divide for the body and sleeves. DIVIDE FOR BODY AND SLEEVES: When dividing, the raglan-stitches will be positioned slightly inside the front and back pieces. Knit 43-47-49-51-56-59-65 (= approx. half the back piece), place the next 55-61-67-69-69-71-73 stitches on a thread for the sleeve, cast on 8-10-12-14-18-22-24 stitches (mid-under the sleeve), knit 87-93-99-105-113-121-131 (= front piece), place the next 55-61-67-69-69-71-73 stitches on a thread for the sleeve, cast on 8-10-12-14-18-22-24 stitches (mid-under the sleeve), knit the last 44-46-50-54-57-62-66 stitches (= approx. half the back piece). The body and sleeves are finished separately. BODY: = 190-206-222-238-262-286-310 stitches. Insert 1 marker in the middle of the 8-10-12-14-18-22-24 cast-on stitches under one sleeve). Work to the marker; the round now begins here. Work stockinette stitch in the round until the piece measures 41-44-46-47-48-50-51 cm = 16⅛"-17¼"-18"-18½"-19"-19¾"-20" from the marker mid-back. Change to circular needle size 3 MM = US 2.5 and work rib (knit 1, purl 1), AT THE SAME TIME increase 40-44-52-54-56-56-64 stitches evenly on the first round = 230-250-274-292-318-342-374 stitches When the rib measures 2-2-2-3-3-3-4 cm = ¾"-¾"-¾"-1⅛"-1⅛"-1⅛"-1½", bind off a little loosely with rib. The sweater measures approx. 43-46-48-50-51-53-55 cm = 17"-18"-19"-19¾"-20"-21"-21⅝" from the marker mid-back and 47-50-52-54-56-58-60 cm = 18½"-19¾"-20½"-21¼"-22"-22¾"-23⅝" from the shoulder. SLEEVES: Place the 55-61-67-69-69-71-73 sleeve-stitches from one thread on circular needle size 4 MM = US 6 and knit up 1 stitch in each of the 8-10-12-14-18-22-24 stitches cast on under the sleeve – read SLEEVE TIP = 63-71-79-83-87-93-97 stitches. Insert a marker-thread in the middle of the 8-10-12-14-18-22-24 stitches under the sleeve- the round starts by the marker-thread. Work stockinette stitch in the round. AT THE SAME TIME, when the sleeve measures 0-1-1-1-1-1-1 cm = 0"-⅜"-⅜"-⅜"-⅜"-⅜"-⅜" from the division, decrease mid-under the sleeve – read DECREASE TIP as follows: Decrease 2 stitches every 2nd round 0-2-3-3-3-3-3 times, then decrease 2 stitches every 11-8-5-4-3½-2½-2 cm = 4⅜"-3⅛"-2"-1½"-1¼"-1"-¾" a total of 4-5-7-8-9-11-12 times = 55-57-59-61-63-65-67 stitches. Continue working until the sleeve measures 39-39-38-36-37-35-33 cm = 15¼"-15¼"-15"-14¼"-14½"-13¾"-13" from the division. Change to double pointed needles size 3 MM = US 2.5. Work rib (knit 1, purl 1), AT THE SAME TIME increase 11-11-11-13-13-13-13 stitches evenly on the first round = 66-68-70-74-76-78-80 stitches. When the rib measures 2-2-2-3-3-3-4 bind off slightly loosely with rib. The sleeve measures approx. 41-41-40-39-40-38-37 cm = 16⅛"-16⅛"-15¾"-15¼"-15¾"-15"-14½" from the division. |
