Bon tricot!

Tak for svar.

26.03.2019 - 12:36DROPS Design answered:
Liebe Julia, wenn die 11 Reihen in A.7 einmal in der Höhe gestrickt werden, dann wiederholen Sie A.7 ab der Reihe mit dem Stern = ab 2.

Bon tricot!

Hello! I love this pattern, but can I use DROPS Lace instead? Please advice. Thank you
06.02.2018 - 19:45DROPS Design answered:
Dear Katherine, DROPS Lace is quite thinner and generally used only for shawls, you can swatch first and check if you like the fabric with the given tension. For any further assistance do not hesitate to contact your DROPS store even per mail, telephone or on social medias. Happy knitting!

DROPS 186-8 |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
INFORMATION FOR THE PATTERN: RIDGE/GARTER STITCH (worked back and forth): 1 ridge = Knit 2 rows. PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 to A.8. The diagrams show all the rows in the pattern seen from the right side. NOTE: The pattern is worked from both the right side and the wrong side in A.6 and A.7. ---------------------------------------------------------- PONCHO: The piece is worked back and forth with circular needle in 2 parts and sewn together to finish. FRONT PIECE: Cast on 123-138-158-173 stitches with circular needle size 4 mm / US 6 and 1 strand Alpaca and 1 strand Kid-Silk (= 2 strands). Work A.1, but on row 7 in A.1 repeat A.1 until there are 1-2-2-1 stitches left on the row and knit the last 1-2-2-1 stitches. When A.1 has been completed, change to circular needle size 5 mm / US 8. The next row is worked as follows: 4 edge stitches in GARTER STITCH - see description above, A.2 (= 12 stitches), work A.3A over the next 50-60-80-100 stitches (= 5-6-8-10 repeats of 10 stitches), A.3B over the next 0-5-5-0 stitches (= 0-1-1-0 repeats of 5 stitches), 3 stitches stockinette stitch, A.4 (= 10 stitches), A.5 (= 27 stitches), insert 1 marker thread and work A.6 (= 17 stitches). Continue the pattern like this and allow the marker thread to follow your work upwards. NOTE: The marker thread marks the transition between A.5 and A.6, be aware that the pattern in A.6 is worked both from the right side and the wrong side and that the number of stitches in A.6 will vary from 17 to 21 stitches. REMEMBER THE GAUGE! Work until the piece measures approx. 67-76-88-97 cm / 26½"-30"-34½"-38¼" – finish after a whole repeat of A.5/A.6 in height. Change to circular needle size 4 mm / US 6. Work A.1, but on row 7 in A.1, repeat A.1 until there are 1-2-2-1 stitches left on the row, knit the last 1-2-2-1 stitches. When A.1 has been completed, bind off with knit from the right side, but to avoid the bind-off edge being tight, you can make 1 yarn over after approx. every 6th stitch at the same time as you bind off (the yarn overs are bind off as normal stitches). BACK PIECE: Cast on 123-138-158-173 stitches with circular needle size 4 mm / US 6 and 1 strand Alpaca and 1 strand Kid-Silk (= 2 strands). Work A.1, but on row 7 in A.1, repeat A.1 until there are 1-2-2-1 stitches left on the row and knit the last 1-2-2-1 stitches. When A.1 has been completed, change to circular needle size 5 mm / US 8. The next row is worked as follows: A.7 (= 17 stitches), insert 1 marker thread, work A.5 (= 27 stitches), A.8 (= 10 stitches), work A.3A over the next 50-60-80-100 stitches (= 5-6-8-10 repeats of 10 stitches), work A.3B over the next 0-5-5-0 stitches (= 0-1-1-0 repeats of 5 stitches), 3 stitches stockinette stitch, A.2 (= 12 stitches) and 4 edge stitches in garter stitch. Continue the pattern like this and allow the marker thread to follow your work upwards. NOTE: The marker thread marks the transition between A.7 and A.5, be aware that the pattern in A.7 is worked both from the right side and the wrong side and you need to repeat in height from the row marked with a star in the diagram. The number of stitches in A.7 will vary from 17 to 21 stitches. Continue working until the piece measures approx. 67-76-88-97 cm / 26½"-30"-34½"-38¼" – finish after a whole repeat of A.7/A.5 in height. Change to circular needle size 4 mm / US 6. Work A.1, but on row 7in A.1 repeat A.1 until there are 1-2-2-1 stitches left on the row, knit the last 1-2-2-1 stitches. When A.1 has been completed, bind off with knit from the right side, but to avoid the bind-off edge being tight, you can make 1 yarn over after approx. every 6th stitch at the same time as you bind off (the yarn overs are bind off as normal stitches). ASSEMBLY: See sketch. Lay the parts on top of each other with the right side out and sew seams A and B inside the bind-off edge. Then sew seams C and D in the outermost loop of the outermost stitch. You now have a split of 30-32-34-36 cm / 11¾"-12½"-13½"-14¼" in the one side and a split along the whole of the other side in addition to an opening for the neck. |
