Vielen Dank!

I have tried this pattern 3 times with 33 stitches and have ripped it back 3 times too. That was following your video 🙁
15.12.2019 - 21:26DROPS Design answered:
Dear Tori, sorry to hear you have worries with the English rib; if you are working with the yarn in the right hand, consider the yarn over to be worked as follows: on row 1: knit 1, slip yarn in front of work, slip next st as if to purl, knit next stitch ( the yarn will pass over the needle to knit the stitch = it will create the yarn over). - row 2: *place yarn in front of work, slip next st, knit next stitch (the yarn will pass over the needle to knit the stitch = it will create the yarn over). Hope this can help. Happy knitting!

What does YO mean? I always thought it was "yarn over" but this doesn't make any sense.
11.08.2019 - 19:00DROPS Design answered:
Dear Sarah, yes, YO means "yarn over". I am not sure, why do you think it makes no sense - YOs are part of this pattern, fishermans rib. You could look at the video-tutorial for this pattern - see few comments below. Happy knitting!

Which method is used to cast on for the hat? Is it Italian? Or some other to get the stretchy edge? Thanx;)
19.10.2014 - 16:50DROPS Design answered:
Dear Ekaterina, there are different techniques to cast on sts (see there), you can use the one you are used to taking care that the cast on row will be strech enough. Happy knitting!
