Please advise explain Row 5 for the edge - P YOs (=increase). After completing Row 4 (all K stitches) what does this mean?
07.03.2018 - 15:45DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Avila, on the 4th row in A.2 you work 1 yo at the beg of each repeat, on round 5, purl these YOs twisted (= into back instead of front loop to avoid hole) = there are now P2 at the beg of each A.2. Happy knitting!

Hola, buenas tardes.

Buon lavoro!

What does the 'entire opening between sleeves' mean? I am a begginer knitter-ish. Most of the pattern is easy, but i dont know what that means.
11.05.2015 - 07:28DROPS Design answered:
Dear Ori, when you have sew seam sleeves (= dotted lines in each side of work), you pick up sts from cast on edge + along cast off edge = opening between sleeves. Happy knitting!

Bon tricot!

I live in New Zealand and have beautiful "Super fine Kid Mohair Merino wool which is made here in NZ. Its 12ply (or triple knit) which uses 5.5mm kneedles . As your pattern says 8mm needles and I am a size 4XL or 26 using 8mm needles would be ok ? Also I am a very good knitter but have never used charts. Would it be best to write out the whole pattern from the charts ... or is there anyone who has written the pattern from the chart and is able to pass it on to me please.

Dear Renate, you'll get more informations about Vienna here, and here you'll learn how to read a diagram. Remember to check your gauge, a swatch can help you to understand how to work both diagrams. Happy knitting!

Diagrams show all rows in 1 pattern repetition seen from RS. -------------------------------------------------------- BODY: Worked back and forth on needle. Loosely cast on 74-78-82-86-90-94 sts on circular needle size 8 mm / US 11 with Vienna or "Melody". NOTE! Make sure that the cast on edge is not too tight. Make sure that the bind off edge is not too tight. ASSEMBLY: Place cast on edge against bind off edge, WS against WS, sew side and under arm seams in one inside 1 edge st - see dotted line in chart. EDGE: Worked in the round on needle. Pick up from RS approx. 140 to 180 sts along the entire opening between sleeves. K 1 round while AT THE SAME TIME adjusting no of sts to 144-152-160-168-176-184. Then work diagram A.2 in the round (= 36-38-40-42-44-46 repetitions). NOTE: On 5th round in pattern P YOs (= inc) twisted to avoid holes. When A.2 has been worked 1 time vertically, there are 180-190-200-210-220-230 sts on needle. Then work 2 rounds in garter st, on next round loosely bind off all sts. NOTE!
