Knitted DROPS shoulder piece with lace pattern in ”Verdi”. Size: S - XXXL.
DROPS 147-15 |
|||||||||||||
GARTER ST (back and forth on circular needle): K all rows. 1 ridge = 2 K rows. PATTERN: See diagram A.1. Diagram shows all rows in pattern seen from RS. INCREASE TIP: Inc by making 1 YO. Work YOs twisted on next row to avoid holes. --------------------------------------------------------- SHOULDER PIECE: The piece is worked back and forth on circular needle because of no of sts. LOOSELY cast on 152-164-168-180-192-204 sts on 2 circular needles size 7 mm / US 10.75 (or 7 + 8 mm/ US 10.75+11) with Verdi. Pull out one circular needle (keep circular needle size 7 mm / US 10.75) and work in GARTER ST – see explanation above (1st row = RS). When piece measures 2 cm / ¾", K tog every 3rd and 4th st (= 38-41-42-45-48-51 sts dec) = 114-123-126-135-144-153 sts. When piece measures 4 cm / 1½", K every other and 3rd st tog (= 38-41-42-45-48-51 sts dec) = 76-82-84-90-96-102 sts. When piece measures 8 cm / 3⅛" - on next row worked from RS dec 26-28-28-30-32-34 sts evenly = 50-54-56-60-64-68 sts. K 1 row from WS. Switch to circular needle size 8 mm / US 11 and work next row from RS as follows: 4 edge sts in garter st, diagram A.1 until 4 sts remain and finish with 4 edge sts in garter st. Continue pattern like this with 4 sts in garter st in each side. REMEMBER THE GAUGE! When piece measures 13 cm / 5" (i.e. 5 cm / 2" from edge in garter st), cast on 4 new sts at the end of the next 2 rows for sleeves = 58-62-64-68-72-76 sts. Continue pattern but work the outermost 8 sts in each side in garter st. When 3 ridges in total have been worked in each side, work in garter st only over the outermost 4 sts in each side (work the other sts in pattern). When piece measures 50-54-58-62-66-70 cm / 19¾"-21¼"-22¾"-24½"-26", work 3 ridges in garter st over the outermost 8 sts in each side again (work the other sts in pattern). On first row after the 3 ridges, bind off the first 4 sts at beg of row. Work the rest of row, turn piece and bind off the first 4 sts at beg of row = 50-54-56-60-64-68 sts. Continue pattern with 4 sts in garter st in each side. When piece measures 58-62-66-70-74-78 cm / 22¾"-24½"-26"-27½"-29"-30¾", switch to circular needle size 7 mm / US 10.75. K 1 row from RS while AT THE SAME TIME inc 26-28-28-30-32-34 sts evenly - READ INCREASE TIP = 76-82-84-90-96-102 sts. Continue to work in garter st back and forth on needle. When edge in garter st measures 2 cm / ¾", inc 38-41-42-45-48-52 sts evenly (i.e. inc after 1st and 2nd st on row, then after every other st) = 114-123-126-135-144-152 sts. When edge in garter st measures 6 cm / 2⅜", inc 38-41-42-45-48-52 sts evenly (i.e. inc after 1st and 2nd st on row, then after every 3rd st) = 152-164-168-180-192-204 sts. When edge in garter st measures 8 cm / 3" (the entire piece measures 66-70-74-78-82-86 cm / 26"-27½"-29"-30¾"-32¼"-34"), very loosely bind off while AT THE SAME TIME making a YO after approx. every 5th st to avoid a tight cast-off edge (bind off YO as a st). ASSEMBLY: Sew side and underarm seams in one, sew in outermost sts - see dotted line in chart. |
