Cast on 104-112-120-132-144-156 sts (includes 1 edge st each side) on needle size 4 mm / US 6 with Karisma. Work 2 rows stockinette st, and continue as follows (from RS): 1 edge st, * K2 / P2 *, repeat from *-*, and finish with K2 and 1 edge st. Work return row with K over K and P over P and now continue in stockinette st with 1 edge st each side. REMEMBER THE GAUGE! When piece measures 52-54-56-58-60-62 cm / 20½"-21¼"-22"-22¾"-23⅝"-24⅜" complete piece in GARTER ST on all sts – see above! When piece measures 62-64-66-68-70-72 cm / 24⅜"-25¼"-26"-26¾"-27½"-28⅜" bind off the middle 18-18-18-22-22-26 sts for neck and complete each shoulder separately. Bind off 1 st on neckline on next row = 28-29-30-30-32-32 sts left on shoulder. Bind off when piece measures 64-66-68-70-72-74 cm / 25¼"-26"-26¾"-27½"-28⅜"-29⅛". RIGHT FRONT PIECE: Worked back and forth on needle. Cast on 59-63-67-71-79-83 sts (includes 1 edge st at the side and 6 front band sts towards mid front) on needle size 4 mm / US 6 with Karisma. Work 2 rows stockinette st and continue as follows (from RS): 6 front band sts in garter st, * K2, P2 *, repeat from *-* and finish with 1 edge st. Work return row with K over K, P over P and front bands in garter st. Now continue in stockinette st with front bands in garter st as before. When piece measures 3-3-4-4-5-5 cm / 1⅛"-1⅛"-1½"-1½"-2"-2" dec at the side as described for back piece. After all dec there are 49-53-57-61-69-73 sts on needle. READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING SECTION BEFORE CONTINUING! INC AT THE SIDE: When piece measures 25-26-27-28-29-30 cm / 9¾"-10¼"-10⅝"-11"-11⅜"-11¾" inc at the side as described for back piece. NECKLINE: at the same time when piece measures 39-40-41-42-43-44 cm / 15¼"-15¾"-16⅛"-16½"-17"-17¼" dec 1 st towards mid front for neck – see DECREASING TIP – and repeat the dec on every other row a total of 17-17-17-17-19-19 times. ARMHOLE: At the same time when piece measures 45-46-47-48-49-50 cm / 17¾"-18"-18½"-19"-19¼"-19¾" bind off for armhole at the side as described for back piece. Work 2 rows stockinette st and continue as follows (from RS): 1 edge st, * K2, P2 *, repeat from *-* and finish with 1 edge st. Work return row with K over K and P over P. Continue in stockinette st. When piece measures 9 cm / 3½" inc 1 st each side, and repeat the inc on every 3.5-3-2.5-2.5-2-2 cm / 1¼"-1⅛"-⅞"-⅞"-¾"-¾" a total of 12-12-14-15-17-17 times = 74-78-82-88-92-96 sts. When piece measures 49-48-47-46-45-44 cm / 19¼"-19"-18½"-18"-17¾"-17¼" (less for the larger sizes because of longer sleeve cap and wider shoulder) bind off for sleeve cap each side at the beg of every row: 4 sts 1 time, 2 sts 2 times and 1 st 3-5-6-7-9-10 times, then 2 sts each side until piece measures 56 cm / 22", now bind off 3 sts 1 time each side, and bind off remaining sts. Piece measures approx 57 cm / 22½". POCKETS: Make 2 pockets. Crochet 4 ch with Karisma on crochet hook size 4 mm / G/6 and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch. ROUND 1: 3 ch (= 1 dc), * 1 ch, 1 dc in ring *, repeat from *-* a total of 7 times and finish with 1 ch and 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round (= 8 dc on round). ROUND 2: 3 ch (= 1 dc), * 3 ch, 1 dc in next dc *, repeat from *-* a total of 7 times and finish with 3 ch and 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round (= 8 ch-loops). ROUND 3: Crochet as follows in each ch-loop: 1 sc, 1 ch, 1 dc, 1 ch, 2 tr, 1 ch, 1 dc, 1 ch and 1 sc. Finish with 1 sl st in first sc from beg of round (= 8 leaves) ROUND 4: 4 ch (= 1 tr = first corner), * 5 ch, 1 sc at the top of first leaf (between the 2 tr), 4 ch, 1 sc at the top of next leaf, 5 ch, 1 tr between the 2 sc before next leaf *, repeat from *-* a total of 4 times but finish with 1 sl st in 4th ch from beg of round (instead of 1 tr) = 12 ch-loops round flower with 1 tr in each corner. ROUND 5: 6 ch (= 1 tr + 2 ch), in first st from previous round (= corner) crochet as follows: 1 dtr, 2 ch and 1 tr (= corner). Now crochet 4 tr in each ch-loop, in tr in the remaining 3 corners crochet: 1 tr, 2 ch, 1 dtr, 2 ch and 1 tr. Finish round with 1 sl st in 4th ch from beg of round. ROUND 6: 4 ch, 1 tr in first ch-loop, 2 ch, 1 tr in dtr in corner, 2 ch, 2 tr in next ch-loop. Now crochet 1 tr in each tr from previous round (= 14 tr along each side), in the remaining 3 corners crochet as follows: 2 tr in ch-loop, 2 ch, 1 tr in dtr, 2 ch and 2 tr in next ch-loop, finish round with 1 sl st in 4th ch from beg of round. Now crochet pocket a little longer towards bottom edge as follows: ROW 7: Only crochet along one side as follows: sl sts to tr in first corner, 4 ch (replaces first tr), 1 tr in ch-loop, 1 tr in each tr from previous row, 1 tr in ch-loop at the end of row and 1 tr in tr in corner = 22 tr, turn piece. ROW 8: 3 ch, 1 dc in each tr from previous row, turn piece. ROUND 9: Crochet sc round the whole pocket as follows: 1 sc in each dc, 2 sc along the side of dc and 3 sc along the side of tr, 1 sc in each tr, in the 2 corners at the top of pocket crochet: 2 sc in ch-loop, 1 sc in tr in corner and 2 sc in next ch-loop. ASSEMBLY: Sew shoulder seams and st in sleeves. Sew sleeve and side seams inside 1 edge st. Sew on pockets approx 8 cm / 3⅛" from bottom edge and 7-8-9-10-11-12 cm / 2¾"-3⅛"-3½"-4"-4⅜"-4¾" from mid front. CROCHET BORDER: Crochet a border on crochet hook size 4 mm / G/6 with Karisma up along right front band, round neckline and down along left front band as follows: 1 sc in first st, * 4 ch, 1 dc in first ch (= 1 picot), skip approx 1.5 cm / ½", 1 sc in next st *, repeat from *-*. Sew buttons to left front band and use crochet border on right front band as buttonholes. |
