Habe Belle statt Lin bestellt: andere Nadelgröße, Maschenprobe usw.

Hello, I can't find how to decrease st. when knitting the skirt. I start with 255 and supposed to have 170 before pleats - but how do I get there? thanks a lot!
23.01.2016 - 22:28DROPS Design answered:
Dear Anna, when working pleats you will dec 5 sts in each pleat, so that when repeating M.1 a total of 17 times you will dec 5 sts x 17= 85 sts dec. You had 255 sts - 85 sts dec after M.1 = 170 sts remain after pleats. Happy knitting!

You decrease 2 sts 8 TIMES that means once on the right side and next on the left side (4 sts together)

I am decreasing for the armholes from 136 stitches to 90 stitches, a total of 46 stitches. The pattern says to decrease 2 stitches at the beginning of each row for 8 rows, and 1 stitch at the beginning of each row for 7 rows. That's only 23 stitches. If I decrease on BOTH sides of every row, I'd have decreased 46 stitches. Did you mean to decrease 2 stitches on EACH SIDE? How do you want me to decrease at the END of a row?
05.07.2012 - 13:06DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Williams, you will bind off for armhole the indicated sts each side at the beg of every row (from RS as well as from WS), so that you will have a total of 23 dec each side = a total of 46 st dec. Happy knitting !
