VEST: Knitting gauge: 21 sts x 29 rows on needle size 3.5 mm / US 4 in stockinette st = 4" x 4" (10 x 10 cm) Seed st: first row: *K2, P2*, repeat from *-*. Second row: P over K and K over P. Repeat second row. Buttonholes: Make buttonholes on right front piece when piece measures: 2-2-2 (2-2) cm, 6.5-7-8 (9-9.5) cm and 11-12-14 (16-17) cm. 1 buttonhole = bind off 2 sts and cast on 2 new sts on return row. Pattern: See diagram. The diagrams show the pattern from the RS. Front and back piece: Worked back and forth on circular needle from mid front. Cast on 130-142-154 (166-178) sts on circular needle size 2.5 mm / US 1.5 with green and work 3 cm / 1" seed st. Change to needle size 3.5 mm / US 4 and continue in M.1 with 5 sts each side in seed st for front band – remember buttonholes on right front band. When piece measures 12-13-15 (17-18) cm divide piece as follows: 35-38-41 (44-47) sts = front piece, 60-66-72 (78-84) sts = back piece, 35-38-41 (44-47) sts = front piece. Now complete front and back pieces separately. Left front piece: = 35-38-41 (44-47) sts. Work 3 sts on armhole in seed st. Dec inside front band to shape the neckline on every other row: 1 st 11-11-11 (12-12) times and then on every 3rd row: 1 st 3-3-4 (4-5) times. Dec by K2 tog. After M.1 work 3 rows seed st and then complete piece in M.2. Bind off remaining sts for shoulder when piece measures 26-28-31 (34-37) cm. Right front piece: like left front piece, but dec by K2 tog into back of st. Back piece: = 60-66-72 (78-84) sts. Work 3 sts towards armhole in seed st. Continue in pattern as described for front piece. When piece measures 24-26-29 (32-35) cm work 5 rows seed st on the middle 28-28-30 (32-34) sts. Now bind off the middle 18-18-20 (22-24) sts for neck and continue with 5 sts on neckline in seed st. Bind off remaining sts for shoulder when piece measures 26-28-31 (34-37) cm. Assembly: Sew shoulder seam. Sew on buttons. ___________________________________________________ BOOTIES: Foot length: 10-11-12 (14-15) cm DROPS double pointed needles size 2.5 and 3.5 mm / US 1.5 and 4 Knitting gauge: width of 22 sts on needles size 3.5 mm / US 4 in pattern = 10 cm / 4". Rib: *K2, P2*, repeat from *-*. Pattern: see diagram. The diagrams show the pattern from the RS. Cast on 48-52-52 (56-56) sts on double pointed needle size 2.5 mm / US 1.5 with green and work 10-12-12 (13-14) cm Rib as follows: 2 rounds green, 1 round off-white, 2 rounds green, 1 round off-white and now complete piece in green. When piece measures 4-5-5 (5-6) cm K tog 3 sts mid back, work 4 rounds, K tog 3 sts mid back = 44-48-48 (52-52) sts. After the Rib change to needle size 3.5 mm / US 4 and continue in stockinette st, at the same time dec evenly to 36-40-40 (44-44) sts. Work 2 rounds and work next round as follows: *K2 tog, 1 yo*, repeat from *-*. Work 1 round stockinette st. Now work 4-5-5.5 (7-7.5) cm stockinette st on the upper 8-10-10 (12-12) sts for middle piece, put the remaining 28-30-30 (32-32) sts on a thread. Pick up 8-10-12 (14-16) sts on each side of the middle piece = 52-60-64 (72-76) sts and work 1.5-2-2.5 (3-3.5) cm stockinette st on all sts, P 1 round. Now bind off all sts except the front 8-10-10 (12-12) sts, work 9-10-11 (13-14) cm pattern on these for sole. Bind off and sew sole to sock. Crochet a chain on needle size 2.5 mm / US 1.5, approx 30-35 cm long, and thread through eyelet row. ______________________________________________ JUMPSUIT: Knitting gauge: 24 sts x 32 rows on needles size 3.5 mm / US 4 in seed sts = 4" x 4" (10 x 10 cm). Seed st: first row: *K2, P2*, repeat from *-*. Second row: P over K and K over P. Repeat second row. Rib: *K2, P2*, repeat from *-*. Left leg: Cast on 56-60-64 (64-68) sts on pointed needles size 2.5 mm / US 1.5 with off-white and P 1 row, 3 cm / 1" Rib and P 1 row. Change to needle size 3.5 mm / US 4 and continue in seed st, at the same time inc each side: 1 st 6-6-8 (10-10) times as follows: 3 + 6/9 months: on every 8th row, 12/18 months + 2-3 years: on every 7th row = 68-72-80 (84-88) sts. Remember the knitting gauge. When piece measures 19-20-22 (27-29) cm put it aside and knit the other leg. Body piece: Put left and right leg in on the same circular needle size 3.5 mm / US 4 = 136-144-160 (168-176) sts. Measure piece from here! Now inc mid back on both sides of the middle 2 sts on every other round: 1 st 4 times, at the same time dec mid front on every 3rd round on both sides of the middle 2 sts: 1 st 4 times - dec as follows: K2 tog into back of st, K2 middle sts, K2 tog. When piece measures 5 cm / 2" bind off 8 sts mid front for opening and continue back and forth on needle. When piece measures 27-30-33 (33-35) cm divide the piece as follows: 28-30-34 (36-38) sts = front piece, bind off 4 sts for armhole, 64-68-76 (80-84) sts = back piece, bind off 4 sts for armhole, 28-30-34 (36-38) sts = front piece. Now complete each piece separately. Left front piece: = 28-30-34 (36-38) sts. Bind off to shape the armhole on every other row: 2 sts 1 time, 1 st 4-3-4 (3-3) times = 22-25-28 (31-33) sts. When piece measures 34-38-42 (43-46) cm, bind off to shape the neckline on every other row: 4-7-7 (8-9) sts 1 time, 2 sts twice, 1 st 1 time. Bind off remaining sts for shoulder when piece measures 38-42-46 (47-50) cm. Right front piece: like left front piece, but mirrored. Back piece: = 64-68-76 (80-84) sts. Bind off to shape the armhole as described for front piece = 52-58-64 (70-74) sts. When piece measures 36-40-44 (45-48) cm bind off the middle 22-28-28 (30-32) sts for neck and bind off to shape the neckline on every other row: 1 st twice. Bind off remaining sts for shoulder when piece measures 38-42-46 (47-50) cm. Sleeve: Worked in the round on double pointed needles. Cast on 40-40-44 (44-44) sts on double pointed needles size 2.5 mm / US 1.5 with off-white, P 1 round, 3 cm / 1" Rib, P 1 round. Change to needle size 3.5 mm / US 4 and continue in seed st. At the same time after the Rib inc 2 sts mid under arm a total of 6-9-9 (12-14) times as follows: Size 3 + 6/9 months: on every 5th and 6th round alternately Size 12/18 months: on every 6th round Size 2 + 3 years: on every 5th round = 52-58-62 (68-72) sts. When piece measures 19-24-26 (28-32) cm bind off 6 sts mid under sleeve and complete piece back and forth on needle. Bind off to shape the sleeve cap on every other row: 5 sts 4 times, bind off. Sleeve measures approx 22-27-29 (31-35) cm. Assembly: Sew shoulder seam. Pick up approx 74-90 sts along left front piece on needle size 2.5 mm / US 1.5 with off-white, P 1 row, 3.5 cm Rib, P 1 row, bind off. Repeat along right front piece, but after 1 cm / ⅜" make 5-5-5 (6-6) buttonholes evenly distributed on row. 1 buttonhole = bind off 3 sts and cast on 3 new sts on return row. Fasten edges at bottom of split. Pick up approx 74-86 sts round the neck on needle size 2.5 mm / US 1.5 with off-white, P1 row, 2 cm / ¾" Rib, bind off in P sts. Set in sleeves and sew on buttons. Pick up approx 80-100 sts on needle size 2.5 mm / US 1.5 with off-white along leg’s back piece, work 3 cm / 1" Rib, bind off in P sts. Repeat along leg’s front piece, but after 1 cm / ⅜" make 5-5-6 (6-6) buttonholes evenly distributed. 1 buttonhole: bind off 3 sts and cast on 3 new sts on return row. Sew on buttons. |
