I've gotten to " Complete each part separately" and the pattern seems to jump from giving the number of back stitches to casting off for armholes. Is something missing here? A sentence? transition to how to knit the back piece and the separate parts? Thanks so much, Laurie

ALL your patterns are gorgeous, which makes it far too difficult to choose. I love this pattern for its simplicity and the way it falls. Keep up the incredible work!

Knitting gauge: 17 sts x 22 rows on needles size 5 mm / US 8 in stockinette st = 10 x 10 cm / 4" x 4" Garter st: Knit all rows back and forth on needle. Rib: * K3, P4 *, repeat from *-*. Buttonhole: Bind off for buttonhole on right front band. 1 buttonhole = bind off 5th and 6th sts from edge and cast on 2 new sts over bind off sts on next row. Bind off for buttonhole when piece measures: Size S: 4, 12, 19, 27, 34 and 42 cm / 1½",4¾",7½",10⅝",13⅜" and 16½". Size M: 4, 12, 20, 28, 36 and 44 cm / 1½",4¾",8",11",14¼" and 17¼". Cast on 165-179-193-207-221 sts (incl 4 sts front band on each side) on circular needle size 4.5 mm / US 7 in Paris. Knit 4 rows garter st. Change to circular needle size 5 mm / US 8. Continue in reverse stockinette st but knit garter sts on outermost 4 sts (= front band) on each side – see explanation above. At the same time bind off for buttonhole on right front band – see explanation above. When piece measures 12 cm / 4¾" change to circular needle size 4.5 mm / US 7 and work next row as follows from RS: Knit 4 sts garter sts (front band), * K3, P4 * repeat from *-* and end with K3 and 4 sts garter sts. Repeat this until piece measures 24 cm / 9½". Change to circular needle size 5 mm / US 8 and continue in reverse stockinette sts. When piece measures 37-38-39-40-41 cm / 14½"-15"-15¼"-15¾"-16⅛" work next row as follows: 40-44-47-51-54 sts (= right front piece), bind off 6 sts for armhole, 73-79-87-93-101 sts (= back piece), bind off 6 sts for armhole, 40-44-47-51-54 (= left front piece). Complete each part separately. Back piece = 73-79-87-93-101 sts. Then bind off for armhole on every other row as follows: 2 sts 1-2-3-4-5 times and 1 st 4-4-5-5-6 times = 61-63-65-67-69 sts. When piece measures 54-56-58-60-62 cm / 21¼"-22"-22¾"-23⅝"-24⅜" bind off middle 29-29-31-31-33 sts for neck and work each side separately. Continuing bind off 1 sts on next row to shape neckline = 15-16-16-17-17 sts left on each shoulder. Bind off when piece measures 56-58-60-62-64 cm / 22"-22¾"-23½"-24½"-25¼". Right front piece = 40-44-47-51-54 sts. Bind off for armhole like back piece = 34-36-36-38-38 sts. Remember to knit garter st on 4 outermost sts mid front and to bind off for buttonholes. When piece measures 44-46-48-50-52 cm / 17¼"-18"-19"-19¾"-20½" bind off outermost 5 sts mid front for neck and bind off to shape neckline on every other row as follows: 2 sts 6-7-7-7-7 times and 1 st 2-1-1-2-2 times = 15-16-16-17-17 sts left on shoulder. Bind off when piece measures 56-58-60-62-64 cm / 22"-22¾"-23½"-24½"-25¼". Left front piece: Work like right but reversed. Do not bind off for buttonholes. Continue rib until piece measures 4 cm / 1½". Change to circular needle size 5 mm / US 8 and work reverse stockinette sts until complete measurement is reached. At the same time when piece measures 4 cm / 1½" inc 1 st on each side, repeat on every 4 -2 -1.5 -1.5 -1 cm / 1½"-¾"-½"-½"-⅜" a total of 4-6-8-7-9 times = 59-63-67-72-76 sts. When piece measures 19-18-17-16-14 cm / 7½"-7"-6¾"-6¼"-5½" bind off 3 sts in beg of next 2 rows to shape sleeve cap. Continuing bind off in beg of every row, each side as follows: 2 sts 2 times, 1 st 2-2-2-2-4 times. Continuing bind off 2 sts on each side until piece measures 26-26-26-27-27 cm / 10¼"-10¼"-10¼"-10⅝"-10⅝", then bind off 3 sts 1 time on each side. Bind off, sleeve measures approx 27-27-27-28-28 cm / 10⅝"-10⅝"-10⅝"-11"-11". Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Pick up approx 82-88 sts on circular needle size 4.5 mm / US 7 round neckline and knit 4 rows garter st, bind off. Sew in sleeves. Sew sleeve and side seams within 1 edge st.
