Jeśli trzeba, do wykonania próbki zmień rozmiar drutów. Jeżeli Twoja próbka będzie miała 12 oczek na 10 cm i jej faktura będzie Ci odpowiadać, żadne przeliczenia nie będą konieczne. Pozdrawiamy!

Loosely inc new sts in each side every 2nd row (i.e. at end of each row): 1 st 1-4-6-5-8 times, 2 sts 5-4-2-4-2 times, 3 sts 2-1-1-1-1 times, 5 sts 2-2-2-1-1 times and then 10 sts 1 time = 144-146-148-150-154 sts. I don't understand how to do this, can you help please

Hi PP, To cast on evenly, the stitches are cast on at the end of each row - the first increase is 1 stitch (at both ends) 1-4-6-5-8 times, depending on the size you are working. The next increase is 2 stitches (at both ends) 5-4-2-4-2 times and so on. I hope this helps and happy knitting!

"Loosely cast on new sts at the end of every row: 1 st 1 times, 2 sts 5 times, 3 sts 2- times, 5 sts 2 times and then 10 sts 1 time." Does this mean that I'm supposed to do these cast ons for each side of the pattern rather than for just one row? Because if I end by just casting on 10 extra stitches one time on 1 row it seems like one side will be much longer than the other. I'm just not sure how this works out (this is my first sweater!)- any explanation would be wonderful. Thanks!

Dear Rachael, these are the sts for the sleeves, they have to been cast on at the end of each row, in means both sides, from RS and from WS to have the same amount of sts inc each side. Happy knitting!

Gauge: 12 sts x 15 rows in stockinette st = 10 x 10 cm. Because the body and sleeve are knit in one piece, the row gauge is very important. If it is too tight, the garment will be too short; if it is too loose, the garment will be too long. Pattern: See chart. The pattern is seen from the right side. «9 p/v = ca 6 cm» – 9 rows = approx. 6 cm. Knitting tips (for neckband): Dec inside of 2 sts in garter st. All decs are made on right side as follows: After 2 garter sts: Slip 1 st as if to knit, K 1, psso. Before 2 garter sts: K 2 tog. Measuring tips: On account of the construction and weight of the garment, make all measurements when held up, otherwise the garment will be too long when worn. Pullover: The pullover is knit in 2 pieces, starting at lower edge on front/back and casting on sts at each side for the sleeves. Then the body is joined at the shoulders with Kitchener st (see Fig. 1). Front: Loosely cast on 70-76-82-88-94 sts and knit Pattern 1 (1st row = wrong side). Then knit stockinette st. When the piece measures 9-10-11-12-13 cm inc for the sleeve. Loosely cast on new sts at the end of every row: 1 st 1-4-6-5-8 times, 2 sts 5-4-2-4-2 times, 3 sts 2-1-1-1-1 times, 5 sts 2-2-2-1-1 times and then 10 sts 1 time = 144-146-148-150-154 sts. Knit the 2 outermost sts at each side in garter st and remaining sts in stockinette st. When the piece measures 26-28-30-31-33 cm – read Measuring tips – K (on wrong side row) over the center 18-18-20-20-20 sts (knit the remaining sts the same as before). On the next row bind off the center 14-14-16-16-16 sts for the neck. Put sts on one side on a st holder. 1st side: = 65-66-66-67-69 sts. Continue in stockinette st and 2 sts in garter st at side – at the same time dec 1 st at neck edge every other row 4 times – see knitting tips above = 61-62-62-63-65 sts remain on shoulder + sleeves. When the piece measures 34-36-38-40-42 cm put sts on a st holder. 2nd side: put sts on st holder from the other side back on needles and knit the same as the 1st side – start the 1st row from neck edge , pick up 1 st in the 1st st bound off for the neck and K tog with the 1st st. This reinforces the neck edge. Back: Cast on and knit the same as the front. Inc for sleeves as on front. When the piece measures 33-35-37-39-41 cm K (on wrong side row) over the center 26-26-28-28-28 sts. On the next row bind off the center 22-22-24-24-24 sts for the neck. Put the remaining 61-62-62-63-65 sts at each side on a st holder. The piece measures approx. 34-36-38-40-42 cm. Assembly: Join shoulder seams with Kitchener st – see Fig.1. Sew underarm and side seams, making sure that the seam is not too tight. Neckband: Crochet 1 row around the neck with double strands of Cotton Viscose as follows (crochet around the outermost garter st): 1 sc, * ch 5, 1 sc in the next st *, repeat from * - * and finish with ch 5 and 1 sl st in the first sc at start of row. Sleeve edge: Crochet around lower edge of each sleeve in the same way as neck, then crochet 1 row as follows: sl st to the center of first ch-loop, * ch 5, 1 sc in the next ch-loop *, repeat * - * and finish with ch 5 and 1 sl st in the sl st at start of row. |
