Gauge: 23 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm on larger needles in pattern. Rib: * K 2, P 1 *, repeat from * - *. Pattern: See charts. The pattern is seen from the right side. On the chart for Pattern 1, arrows indicate the starting point for each size for the back only – for the fronts it is the same for all sizes. The chart for Pattern 2 is the same for all sizes. Only the small bobbles are knit in Cotton Viscose. These sts must be knit alternately from right side and wrong side rows – do not cut yarn after each pattern row. Fasten the yarn lightly so that it is not visible from right side, and carry up to next pattern row. Knitting tips for decreasing (for neck shaping): All decs are made on right side rows. Dec 1 st inside 3 edge sts knit as: K 1 (edge st knit in garter st), K 1, P 1, as follows: After 3 edge sts: sl 1, K 1, psso. Before 3 edge sts: K 2 tog. __________________________________________________________________ Back: Cast on 95-104-113-122 sts on smaller needles with Silke-Tweed. Knit rib for 2 cm - begin and end each row with 1 edge st knit in garter st throughout, and begin rib with K 1 after the garter st edge st. Change to larger needles and repeat Pattern 1 to finished measurements - start at the appropriate arrow on the chart (the 1 edge st at each side is not knit in the pattern), increasing 1 st at center back on the first row for sizes M and XL = 95-105-113-123 sts. When the piece measures 7 cm inc 1 st at each side every 6 cm a total of 4 times = 103-113-121-131 sts - knit the increased sts in stockinette st and Silke-Tweed. When the piece measures 34-35-36-36 cm bind off for armhole at each side every other row: 4 sts 1 time, 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 1-2-3-5 times and 1 st 1-3-4-4 times = 83-85-87-89 sts. Continue the pattern, keeping the bobbles in line with the others. Make sure there are at least 5 stockinette st sts between armhole and first bobble in row – if less, omit that bobble. When the piece measures 51-53-55-57 cm (adjust so it is a right side row) purl over the center 15-17-19-21 sts, on the next row bind off the center 13-15-17-19 sts for the neck. Then dec 1 st at each neck edge every other row 2 times - see knitting tips = 33 sts remain on each shoulder. Bind off when the piece measures approx. 54-56-58-60 cm - adjust so that there are at least 3 rows stockinette st over last bobble. Right front: Cast on 50-53-59-62 sts on smaller needles with Silke-Tweed. Knit rib as follows from center front (1st row = right side): K 1 (edge st knit in garter st throughout), K 1, P 1, * K 2, P 1 *, repeat from * - * and finish with K 1 and K 1 (edge st knit in garter st throughout). When the rib measures 2 cm, change to larger needles and Pattern 1 but keep the 3 edge sts at center front edge in rib as established - start at lower right corner for all sizes (the center front), decreasing 2-1-2-1 sts evenly distributed on the first row = 48-52-57-61 sts. When the piece measures 7 cm inc 1 st at the side every 6 cm a total of 4 times = 52-56-61-65 sts. Read the entire next section before knitting: When the piece measures 34-35-36-36 cm bind off for armhole at the side as on back and dec 1 st at center front edge for neck every 4 rows 9-9-11-11 times - see knitting tips = 33 sts remain on each shoulder. Adjust pattern so that you do not have any bobbles in the neck shaping. Bind off the remaining shoulder sts when the piece measures approx. 54-56-58-60 cm - match back. Left front: Cast on and knit the same as the right reversing all shaping. Sleeve: Cast on 50-50-58-66 sts on larger needles with Silke-Tweed. P 1 row (right side row), then knit Pattern 2 once, then knit stockinette st with Silke-Tweed to finished measurements. When the piece measures 6 cm inc 1 st at each side a total of 17-20-19-20 times: Size S: alternately every 4th and 5th row. Sizes M, L and XL: alternately every 3rd and 4th rows = 84-90-96-106 sts. When sleeve measures 33-31-30-29 cm bind off for sleeve cap at each side every other row: 4 sts 1 time, 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 4-3-3-2 times, 1 st 0-6-8-11 times, then bind off 2 sts until the piece measures 40-40-40-41 cm and then bind off 3 sts 1 time, the piece measures approx. 41-41-41-42 cm. Bind off the remaining sts. Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Crocheted edge: Crochet around lower edge of sleeve, also along button bands and around neck. Crochet with Cotton Viscose as follows: crochet the 1st row from wrong side so that the 2nd row will be crocheted from right side. 1st row: 1 sc, * ch 5, skip over 1 row/st, 1 sc in the next row/st *, repeat from * - * (at back of the neck skip over 3 sts so that the neck will not pull out of shape), finish with ch 1, turn the work. 2nd row: sl st to center of first ch-loop, * ch 5, fasten with 1 sc in the next ch-loop, ch 5, 1 sc in the same ch-loop *, repeat from * - *. Button loop: Crochet 1 button loop on the wrong side in back of the ruffle edge on right front where neck shaping begins. Crochet with Silke-Tweed as follows: 1 sc, ch 3, fasten with 1 sc 1 cm below. Sew a button on the wrong side of left front at the matching point. Sew in sleeves and sew sleeve and side seams using edge sts as a seam allowance |
