Somehow I am a little confused, when the pattern says "keeping 1 st at each edge in garter st." does that mean from the very beginning of the garment or from when you start the two purl rows of the pattern. Also this time I am using baby Merino, I seem to be going through the wool very quickly, surely 4 balls, will be enough for the cardigan only? Thanks for your help, Susan Fell Australia

Dear Mrs Fell, you work the edge sts in garter st when starting pattern. To check amount of yarn in an alternative, please click there. Happy knitting!
