Kan det passe at kroppen målt fra opslagskant kun skal være 25 cm, til der lukkes af til ærmegab?

Hej Gertrud, ja det stemmer, det er en ret kort model, det kan du også se på måleskitsen :)

The sleeve says to cast on 140 stitches with double pointed needles. How can I possibly cast on 140 stitches onto 8 inch dpns? Can I use circular needles until I have decreased so much that I cannot use circular anymore and must change to dpns?
06.01.2024 - 14:08DROPS Design answered:
Dear Patty, it's a typo in the pattern; there are no 2.5mm double pointed needles in the materials section. You use circular needles to cast on the 140 stitches and change to 3mm double pointed needles when you have 60 stitches left. Happy knitting!

Having knitting a few of your jumper designs top down and they have a tendency to rise up in the front. I have seen the instructions for an elevated back for a top down but would like to include one for a bottom and would like to add an elevated neckline design. Can I just reverse the instructions by starting with the shortest row?

Dear Julia, we are unfortunately not able to adjust every pattern to every request, you can use a similar pattern with the requested changes as a basis and/or ask your yarn store or a knitting forum. Thanks for your comprehension. Happy knitting!

DROPS 230-21 |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||
------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN: ------------------------------------------------------- PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 to A.5. Choose diagram for your size (applies to A.4). DECREASE TIP (evenly spaced): To work out how to decrease evenly, count the total number of stitches on needle (e.g. 228 stitches) and divide by number of decreases to be made (e.g. 20) = 11.4. In this example decrease by knitting together alternately each 10th and 11th stitch and each 11th and 12th stitch. INCREASE TIP (for sleeves): Work until there are 2 stitches left before the marker thread, 1 yarn over, knit 4 (marker thread sits between these 4 stitches), 1 yarn over. On the next round knit the yarn overs twisted to avoid holes. Then work the new stitches in stockinette stitch. ------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- SWEATER – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: The body is worked in the round, bottom up with circular needle. The sleeves are worked in the round, bottom up with double pointed needles/short circular needle. The sleeves and body are joined and the yoke then the neck worked in the round to finish. BODY: Cast on 228-252-273-300-330-363 stitches with circular needle size 2.5 MM = US 1.5 and DROPS Safran. Knit 1 round. Then work A.1 over all stitches until the piece measures 3 cm = 1⅛". Knit 1 round where you decrease 20-22-25-26-30-33 stitches evenly spaced – read DECREASE TIP = 208-230-248-274-300-330 stitches. Change to circular needle size 3 MM = US 2.5 and work stockinette stitch. REMEMBER THE KNITTING GAUGE! When the piece measures 23-24-25-25-25-25 cm = 9"-9½"-9¾"-9¾"-9¾"-9¾", bind off for the armholes as follows: Bind off 3-4-4-5-5-6 stitches, work 98-107-116-127-140-153 stitches, bind off 6-8-8-10-10-12 stitches, work 98-107-116-127-140-153 stitches and bind off 3-4-4-5-5-6 stitches. Lay the piece to one side and work the sleeves. SLEEVES: Cast on 140-147-154-161-168-175 stitches on the short circular needle size 2.5 MM = US 1.5 and DROPS Safran. Insert 1 marker thread at the beginning of the round. Allow the thread to follow your work onwards – it is used when increasing under the sleeve. Knit 1 round. Then work A.2 20-21-22-23-24-25 times on the round. When A.2 has been completed in height there are 60-63-66-69-72-75 stitches and the sleeve measures approx. 4 cm = 1½". Change to double pointed needles size 3 MM = US 2.5 and work stockinette stitch. AT THE SAME TIME, when the sleeve measures 6-6-7-7-6-4 cm = 2⅜"-2⅜"-2¾"-2¾"-2⅜"-1½", increase 2 stitches under the sleeve – read INCREASE TIP. Increase like this every 2½-2-1½-1-1-1 cm = 1"-¾"-½"-⅜"-⅜"-⅜" a total of 8-9-12-16-17-17 times = 76-81-90-101-106-109 stitches (change to short circular needle when necessary). When the sleeve measures 27-26-26-24-23-21 cm = 10⅝"-10¼"-10¼"-9½"-9"-8¼", work the next round as follows: Bind off 3-4-4-5-5-6 stitches, work 70-73-82-91-96-97 stitches and bind off 3-4-4-5-5-6 stitches. Cut the strand. Work the other sleeve in the same way.. YOKE: Place the sleeves on the same circular needle size 3 MM = US 2.5 as the body, where stitches were bind off for the armholes (without working the stitches) = 336-360-396-436-472-500 stitches. Work 2-2-2-2-4-10 rounds of stockinette stitch. Then work A.3 around the yoke. When A.3 has been completed in height, work A.4. AT THE SAME TIME on each round marked with an arrow in A.4, decrease stitches as described below – remember DECREASE TIP: Arrow-1: Decrease 12-12-12-16-16-20 stitches evenly spaced = 324-348-384-420-456-480 stitches. Arrow-2: Decrease 24-24-36-42-54-54 stitches evenly spaced = 300-324-348-378-402-426 stitches. Arrow-3: Decrease 28-36-44-36-42-48 stitches evenly spaced = 272-288-304-342-360-378 stitches. Arrow-4: Decrease 40-40-48-62-72-74 stitches evenly spaced = 232-248-256-280-288-304 stitches. Arrow-5: Decrease 40-40-40-48-48-56 stitches evenly spaced = 192-208-216-232-240-248 stitches. Arrow-6: Decrease 42-52-56-64-68-68 stitches evenly spaced = 150-156-160-168-172-180 stitches. When A.4 is finished, continue with stockinette stitch until the piece measures 20-21-22-24-26-28 cm = 8"-8¼"-8¾"-9½"-10¼"-11" from where the piece was joined (approx. 2-3-4-4-5-5 cm = ¾"-1⅛"-1½"-1½"-2"-2" of stockinette stitch) – AT THE SAME TIME on the last round decrease 30-32-32-34-34-36 stitches evenly spaced = 120-124-128-134-138-144 stitches. NECK: Change to circular needle size 2.5 MM = US 1.5. Work A.5 in the round for 3 cm = 1⅛". Bind off with knit. ASSEMBLY: Sew the openings under the sleeves. |
