05.11.2023 - 22:56DROPS Design answered:
Witaj Alicjo, musisz wykonać próbkę i policzyć. Pozdrawiamy!

Can you please direct me to a tutorial video that will explain the directions in the Cranberry Charmer hat pattern where it says : in stitch below this stitch knit 1, 1 yarn over, knit 1, 1 yarn over, knit 1 (= 4 stitches increased). The posted tutorial videos for this pattern don't seem to include this kind of increase. Thank you.

Dear Margaret, this video might be the one that should help you, it shows (for another pattern) how to work 5 stitches in one stitch (you increase 4 sts) - but remember that you should then work these stitches as in the diagram to the hat (= knit the 5 sts on the next 3 rounds then K the 5 sts twsited together on next round). Happy knitting!

14.12.2022 - 11:58DROPS Design answered:
Hej Karin, du bruger 1 nummer mindre i resåren for at den skal blive lidt mindre :)

Ich verstehe die reihen 6-8 nicht

Liebe Doris, bei der 5. Reihe in A.1 nehmen Sie 3 Maschen zu (siehe 3.

---------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATION FOR THE PATTERN: ---------------------------------------------------------- PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 and A.2. ---------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ---------------------------------------------------------- HAT - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: Worked in the round on a short circular needle, bottom up. Switch to double pointed needles when decreasing. HAT: Cast on 90-96 stitches on a short circular needle size 3.5 MM = US 4 with 3 strands DROPS Kid-Silk or 2 strands DROPS Brushed Alpaca Silk. Remove one strand and continue to work with 2 strands DROPS Kid-Silk or 1 strand DROPS Brushed Alpaca Silk (cast on with one extra strand to avoid a tight cast-on edge). Work rib in the round = knit 1/purl 1 for 11-11 cm = 4⅜"-4⅜". Switch to a short circular needle size 4.5 MM = US 7. Work A.1 in the round (= 15-16 repetitions of 6 stitches). When A.1 has been worked vertically, work A.2 in the round (= 15-16 repetitions of 6 stitches). Repeat A.2 vertically until piece measures 24-25 cm = 9½"-9¾" from cast-on edge – approx. 6 cm = 2⅜" remain until finished measurements. Work next round as follows: * Purl 2 together, knit 1 *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 60-64 stitches. Work 2 cm = ¾" rib with purl over purl and knit over knit. On next round knit all stitches together 2 by 2 = 30-32 stitches remain. Work 2 cm = ¾" in stockinette stitch. On the next 2 rounds knit all stitches together 2 by 2 = 8-8 stitches remain. Cut the yarn and pull yarn through the remaining stitches, tighten together and fasten. Piece now measures approx. 30-31 cm = 11¾"-12¼" from cast-on edge. Fold the bottom 5-5 cm = 2"-2" of rib upwards. |
