In this DROPS video we show how to cast on and how to bind off with double yarn. In some of our patterns it is described that one should both cast on and bind off with double threads. We do this to get a nicer ending / a little more weight on the garment / more elastic / slightly loosely bind off, but everything depends on which yarn you work with. We use the yarn DROPS Snow in the video. You’ll find a pattern where you can use this technique by clicking on the picture below.

In this DROPS video, we show you how to work each front piece with diagonal shoulders and short rows, the piece is worked bottom up. This technique is used among other things in pattern DROPS 255-9, Driftwood Vest, with a different stitch count, number of short rows and cast-on stitches. In this DROPS video we show how you can cast on with two circular needles. We sometimes recommend this in our patterns to prevent the cast on edge being too tight. When you have cast on the required number of stitches, you pull out one circular needle and start to knit. In this video, we cast on with needle 7 and 8 = US 10,75 and US 11, and it is needle 8 = US 10,75 that we pull out. We use the yarn DROPS Snow in the video.
