How to work a V-neck after charts

In this DROPS video we show how we work the V-neck after charts to the «Highland Homecoming» sweater in DROPS 216-5. We knit up stitches inside the 1 edge stitch around the neck before we work after chart A.2 and A.3. This “Highland Homecoming” sweater is knitted in DROPS Air, but in the video we use a thicker yarn; DROPS Snow. How to start working a pouffe-sleeve, from sleeve cap and top down

In this DROPS video we show how to start working back and forth a pouffe-sleeve from the sleeve cap and top down, like in DROPS 223-1. Remember to read a pattern using this technique on how many stitches you should cast on, how many increases in first row, how many times it's working 2 stitches in 1 stitch (in front and in back loop) and how you increases in each sides before you can work around. In this video we have cast on 10 stitches, then we knit from RS while increase 5 stitches (evenly). Then we purl 1 row from WS and next row from RS we increase by knit 2 stitches in each stitch (except the first and last stitch). Then work stockinette stitch back and forth to sleeve cap and cast at the same time on new stitches at the end of every row in each side. Remember to read the pattern for how many stitches and times. When you have the right number of stitches and measurement put piece together and continue in the round. We use the yarn DROPS Snow in the video. How to work a V-neck cable after chart

In this DROPS video we show how to work a V-neck where the V starts with a cable over 10 stiches, like the «Renaissance Memories» sweater in DROPS 222-41, but the same technique / similar cable is used in other patterns. How to work a short puff sleeve, bottom up.

In this DROPS video we show how to work a short puff sleeve from the bottom up. We have already worked the edge of the sleeve and start the video by showing how to increase with yarn over. In the next round, we change to a larger needle and work the yarn over twisted to avoid holes. Insert a marker thread at the beginning of the round and continue with stockinette stitch to the measurement in your pattern. Then bind off stitches mid under sleeve. Now work the top of the sleeve back and forth, at the same time bind off stitches at the beginning of each row. See in the pattern how many stitches and how often it should be bind off. When there are 2 rows left, work 2 and 2 or 3 and 3 stitches together, purl 1 row and bind off. We use the yarn DROPS Snow in the video. How to work cables after chart and a flounces edge

In this DROPS video we show how to work simple cables after chart and how we finish with a flounces edge. You can find this cables and flounces edge in the sweater “Pearlescent Top” in DROPS 230-25. We have already worked chart A.2 3 times in height and show in the video how to work it 1 time in height. We show the beginning and end in each round. Then we show how to work after chart A.3, how to increase to the flounces edge. This sweater is worked in DROPS Alpaca and DROPS Kid-Silk, but in the video, we work with DROPS Snow. How to work INCREASE TIP-1 and DECREASE TIP in DROPS 205-41

In this DROPS video we show how to work INCREASING TIP-1 and how to work DECREASE TIP for the "Fun with Friends" sweater in DROPS 205-41. We have already worked a piece and show 1 row from the RIGHT SIDE where we work 1 edge stitch in GARTER STITCH, how to decrease 1 stitch by slip 1 stitch knitwise, knit 1, pass slipped stitch over. Then we work A.1 and A.4. After working A.4, we increase 1 stich by making a yarn over, then knit 1 stitch through yarn over and the stitch above. Knit to 1 stitch before A.5. Knit 1 stitch through yarn over and the stitch above. Increase 1 stich by making a yarn over, work A.5, then knit A.1 until 3 stitches remain. Knit 2 together. From WRONG SIDE: work 1 edge stitch in GARTER STITCH, then follow the explanation of the chart icons, remember on next row purl yarn overs to make hole. This sweater is knitted with double thread in DROPS Air, but in video we only use 1 thread DROPS Snow. You must read the pattern and look at the charts to be able to follow this video properly. How to increase to the shoulders in DROPS 212-14

In this DROPS video we show how we increase after Increase tip-1 to the shoulders in «Cloud Fluff» sweater in DROPS 212-14. We have cast on a less no of stitches than it says in the pattern and we have already increased 3 times. We only show Increase tip-1 over the shoulders, both how it is worked and the next round (we don’t show how to work the back and front piece). INCREASE TIP-1: Work 3 stitches in the stitch and yarn-over with the markers. Purl together the yarn over and stitch but do not slip the stitch and yarn-over off the left needle, make 1 yarn over the right needle and purl together the stitch and yarn-over 1 more time = 3 stitches (= 2 stitches increased = a total of 8 stitches increased). On the next round work the 3 stitches as follows: Make 1 yarn over, slip 1 stitch as if to purl, knit the yarn over, make 1 yarn over, slip 1 stitch as if to purl. This sweater is worked in DROPS Sky and DROPS Kid-Silk but in the video we work with DROPS Snow. You must read the pattern to be able to follow this video properly. How to increase to the sleeve caps in DROPS 212-14

In this DROPS video, we show how to increase after Increasing Tip-2 to the sleeve caps of the "Cloud Fluff" sweater in DROPS 212-14. We have a smaller number of stitches than what the patterns says. We show Increase tip-2 with the 1st and 2nd increases for the sleeve caps, how we move the markers and how to work the next round (we do not show how the front and back pieces are worked). INCREASE TIP-2, INCREASE 1 ON SLEEVE CAP IS WORKED AS FOLLOWS: Work 3 stitches in the stitch and yarn-over and move the marker as follows: Purl together the yarn-over and stitch, insert 1 marker in this stitch (i.e. stitch on right needle), but do not slip the stitch and yarn over off the left needle, make 1 yarn over the right needle and purl together the stitch and yarn-over 1 more time = 3 stitches (= 2 stitches increased). The marker sits in the first increased stitch (= purled stitch). The next increase is worked in the stitch with the marker. INCREASE TIP-2, INCREASE 2 ON SLEEVE CAP WORKED AS FOLLOWS: Work 3 stitches in the stitch and yarn over and move the marker as follows: Purl together the yarn over and stitch, but wait with slipping the stitch and yarn over off the left needle, make 1 yarn over the right needle, purl together the stitch and yarn-over 1 more time and insert the marker in this stitch = 3 stitches (= 2 stitches increased). The marker sits in the last increased stitch (= purled stitch). The next increase is worked in the stitch with the marker. On the next round work the 3 stitches as follows: Make 1 yarn over, slip 1 stitch as if to purl, knit the yarn over, make 1 yarn over, slip 1 stitch as if to purl. This sweater is worked in DROPS Sky and DROPS Kid-Silk but in the video we work with DROPS Snow. You must read the pattern to be able to follow this video properly. How to work the picot edge and texture pattern to DROPS 222-28

In this DROPS video we show how to work the picot edge and texture pattern after chart A.1 and A.2 to the “Spring Impressions” sweater in DROPS 222-28. We use a much fewer stitches that it says in the pattern and we already knitted a few rounds. We start the video by showing round 1 and 2 to the picot edge. PICOT-EDGE: ROUND 1: * Knit 2 twisted together, make 1 yarn over *, work from *-* to end of round. ROUND 2: Knit all stitches and yarn overs. How to work the jacket in DROPS 248-5 – Part 1

In this DROPS video we show a bit of how the Sand Diamond Cardigan is worked. We use the stitch numbers for size M. We have already worked the bands with decreases and I-cord edge, and start the video by cast on stitches between the right and left band (the green markers show the decreases worked on each band piece). Then we purl 1 row from the wrong side, while the 7 band stitches on each side are worked as before. On the next row, work garter stitches, stockinette stitches, after charts and increases to raglan, read under YOKE in the pattern, the 7 band stitches on each side are worked as before (we use stitch markers between the charts to get a better overview). When A.2, A.3 and A.4 have been worked 1 time in height, you will work 1 more repeat of A.3 between A.2 and A.4 (= 3 repeats of A.3). How to work the jacket in DROPS 248-5 – Part 2

In this DROPS video we show a bit of how the Sand Diamond Cardigan is worked. We use the stitch numbers for size M. We have already worked the bands with an I-cord edge, worked 24 rows of chart A.1 and worked charts A.2, A.3 and A.4 two times in height (see video Part 1). When A.2, A.3 and A.4 have been worked two time in height, you will work 2 more repeat of A.3 between A.2 and A.4 (= 4 reports of A.3). When A.1 has been worked 1 time in height, the increases towards mid-front are finished, and except size S, continue increasing for raglan in each transition between body and sleeves. Read under the PATTERN and under the size you knit how to work the next row (we use stitch markers between the charts to get a better overview). Remember BUTTONHOLES. When A.2, A.3 and A.4 have been worked 1 more time in height, all the increases are finished and there are now 317 stitches on the needle and the work measures approx. 27 cm = 10⅝" from the shoulder (size M). How to work the jacket in DROPS 248-5 – Part 3

In this DROPS video we show a bit of how the Sand Diamond Cardigan is worked. We use the stitch numbers for size M. We have already worked the bands with an I-cord edge, some of chart A.1, A.2, A.3 and A.4 (see video Part 1) and worked YOKE until the part divide for body and sleeves. (see video Part 2). We start the video by working the row where we divide the bodies and sleeves (from right side). Read under DIVIDE FOR BODY AND SLEEVES – ALL SIZES in the pattern. In size M there should then be 235 stitches for the body and 56 stitches for each sleeve. Then it is working from wrong side and work 2nd row in the charts as follows: Work 7 band stitches as before, A.6, A.3 until there are 12 stitches left, A.5 and 7 band stitches as before. * Work 7 band stitches as before, A.5, A.3 until there are 13 stitches left, A.6 and 7 band stitches as before. Work the diagrams 1 time in height. Continue with 7 band stitches as before, A.7, A.3 until there are 18 stitches left, A.8 and 7 band stitches as before. Work the diagrams 1 time in height *. Work from *-* until the body have the specified length (18 cm in size M), finishing after a complete repeat of A.3 in height. Remember the buttonholes. Then change the needle, work a rib, increase stitches and work the 7 band stitches on each side are worked as before, read more in the pattern. How to work the jacket in DROPS 248-5 – Part 4

In this DROPS video we show a bit of how the sleeve to the Sand Diamond Cardigan is worked. We also show how to sew the front band stitches to along the neckline. We use the stitch numbers for size M. Read in the pattern how many stitches to knit up under the sleeve, where and how often to decreases, change needle size and the length of the rib. Sew in the buttons. Sew the bands together mid-back, then sew the bands to the neckline, stretching the bands a little to sew it on. DROPS 139-3 & 4 - Lace pattern

In this video we have already worked one repeat of the chart in height. We start next repeat on a RS row at the bottom right corner on chart. We work 1st row in chart from right to left. Next row from WS we follow the chart from left to right. The outer 2 sts each side and the one stitch in the middle are K on every row, as shown in chart. Follow the chart published with the pattern. Knit: short rows and pattern for circle jacket 154-8.

Here we show how you work the short rows and pattern for the jacket 154-8. In the video we cast on for size S/M (86 st) and already knitted 1 ridge in garter st. Then we work the pattern as follows: (1st row = from RS): 5 sts in garter st, K 2, P 3, (turn here), K 2, A.1 (= 23 sts) (turn here), K 1, A.2A, A.2 B over the next 8-14-20 sts, A.2 C, K 2, (turn here), A.1(= 23 sts), K 2, P 3, K 2, 5 sts in garter st. At the same time the short rows are worked as described: * Work 1 row over the first 10 sts on row, turn and work back. Work 1 row over the first 35 sts on row, turn and work back. Work 1 row over the first 51-57-63 sts on row, turn and work back. Work 1 row over all sts, turn and work back *. Repeat from *-* When short rows have been repeated 1 time there are 8 rows at the widest and 2 rows at the most narrow. REMEMBER - you will also need to read the pattern to be able to follow. Increase in DROPS 155-1

In this video we show how to put the sts back on the right needle and at the same time knit the stripes and short rows (see also pattern 155-1). Note! There will be a slight transition (longer stitches) when you put the stitches back and knit them again. It is therefore important to tighten the yarn every time you knit a new row and the transition will also be smaller after washing. In the video the transition is more visible because we knit with a thicker yarn. Knit as follows: You have 2 sts on the left needle and begin working over the 2 sts, turn and work back. On next row (= RS) slip 2 sts loosely from right to left needle (= 4 sts on left needle) work over the 4 sts, turn and work back, slip 2 sts on every row from RS, turn and work back. Make sure to always have the strands on WS of piece. Continue like this (work 2 more sts every time) until 1 ridge with green (Delight) has been worked over all sts. AT THE SAME TIME inc at the end of every row from RS with green (Delight) by working 2 sts in the last st. REMEMBER - you will also need to read the pattern to be able to follow.
