In this DROPS video we show you how to bind off to the jacket in DROPS Children 27-12. This jacket are made in DROPS BabyAlpaca Silk and DROPS Kid-Silk, but in the video we work with a thicker yarn; DROPS Snow. You must read the pattern to be able to follow this video properly. This nice lace pattern is easy to knit. We already made one repetition following the chart. In the video we show how to work the pattern rows in the chart. We have 1 edge st each side worked in garter st i.e. K on every row. Start at the bottom right corner and follow the chart text in the pattern. All uneven rows are pattern rows worked from RS. And all even rows are purled from WS. Happy Knitting!
In this video we already have worked the first rows in chart to show the pattern. 1st row work from RS starting at bottom right corner of chart: P2, K2 tog, yo, K2, P2. 2nd row from WS start at 2nd row in diagram and work from left to right: K2, P2 tog, yo, P2, K2. Continue like this alternating on every row and following chart at the pattern. Happy knitting!
In this DROPS video we show you how to knit the textured border after chart A.1 in DROPS 197-8. We only show the beginning of round 10 and 11. Round 10: 1 yarn over, * insert the right needle in the middle of the stitch marked with a circle 4 rounds before this round, pick up the strand and pull the loop 3 cm long *, knit 1, repeat from *-* 1 time (= 3 stitches). This we show 3 times. Round 11: Work yarn over twisted to avoid hole, knit 3 together, knit 1, knit 3 twisted together and purl 1. This we also show 3 times. Remember the loops that are pulled out must have the correct length so that it does not get too tight. In this video we use the yarn DROPS Snow. In this DROPS video we show how to work a 2-colored textured pattern where the structure is created by changing the strand both in front and back off the piece, purling and where the thread is picked up from previous rounds. This technique is used on the sweater in DROPS 210-9 and the jacket in DROPS 210-10. First we show how to lift stitches from left needle over to right needle with the strand in front (towards you), then lift the strand from 4 rounds below on the left needle and knit it together with the next stitch (the strand is behind /WS). Then we show how to lift stitches from left needle over to right needle with strand behind (on WS) and purl next stitch. We use the yarn DROPS Air and DROPS Big Deligt in the video. You should also read a pattern using this technique and look at the charts to be able to follow this video properly. In this DROPS video we show how to work a V-neck where the V starts with a cable over 10 stiches, like the «Renaissance Memories» sweater in DROPS 222-41, but the same technique / similar cable is used in other patterns. Then we show how to split the V and then decreases stitches before and after chart A.2 and A.3. This sweater is worked in DROPS Sky, but in the video we work with a thicker yarn; DROPS Snow. In this DROPS video, we show how to work some of the chart icons used in the September Story sweater in DROPS 213-25 and the September Story jacket in DROPS 213-26. In this video we have already worked one repeat of the chart in height. We start next repeat on a RS row at the bottom right corner on chart. We work 1st row in chart from right to left. Next row from WS we follow the chart from left to right. The outer 2 sts each side and the one stitch in the middle are K on every row, as shown in chart. Follow the chart published with the pattern. In this DROPS video we show you how to knit the bottom edge of the Tauriel Cardigan in DROPS 173-15. We knit stripes and short rows along the right front piece bottom edge, right and left back piece bottom edge and finishing off with the left front piece bottom edge. In this DROPS video we show you how to knit the open cable for the jumper in DROPS 176-4. In the video we knit like this: 5 stockinette stitches, 8 stitches purl, 6 stitches (which is increased to 12), 8 stitches purl, 5 stockinette stitches. This jumper is knitted in DROPS Alpaca and DROPS Kid-Silk, but in the video we use DROPS Snow. You must read the pattern to be able to follow this video properly. In this DROPS video we show how to knit the neck edge after chart A.4 in the Adele jumper in DROPS 187-14. We have already worked 2 ridges, 1 knitted round and 3 rounds from the chart A.4. We start on round 4 in the chart = round with knit 2 together and 1 yarn over (on next row knit yarn over to make a hole). When 7th round in diagram has been worked, knit 1 round before it cast off like this: Cast off by knitting but for every 4th stitch make 1 yarn over. Cast off yarn over as stitch. Fold at eyelet row in A.4 so that hem is on the inside of garment. Sew cast-off edge in the top ridge. This jumper is knitted in DROPS Belle, but in the video we work with a thicker yarn; DROPS Snow.
