How to work a 2-colored textured pattern

Keywords: colorwork, jacket, sweater, texture,

In this DROPS video we show how to work a 2-colored textured pattern where the structure is created by changing the strand both in front and back off the piece, purling and where the thread is picked up from previous rounds. This technique is used on the sweater in DROPS 210-9 and the jacket in DROPS 210-10. First we show how to lift stitches from left needle over to right needle with the strand in front (towards you), then lift the strand from 4 rounds below on the left needle and knit it together with the next stitch (the strand is behind /WS). Then we show how to lift stitches from left needle over to right needle with strand behind (on WS) and purl next stitch. We use the yarn DROPS Air and DROPS Big Deligt in the video. You should also read a pattern using this technique and look at the charts to be able to follow this video properly. You can find a pattern with this technique by clicking on one of the pictures below.
