Takker for tilbakemeldingen ang garnbyttet.

24.11.2021 - 13:45DROPS Design answered:
Witaj Anno, oczywiście można tą czapkę wykonać na okrągło. Miłej pracy!

Hey! I don't really understand the second step - "Insert 1 marker in the side of the piece which has small waves on the first row". Could you please rephrase it? What do you mean by small waves? Thank you in advance!
14.11.2021 - 10:40DROPS Design answered:
Dear Anita, you mark the right side of the piece, that is, where the loop is more prominent or outwards (you can see that it is different from the wrong side). This is done to know which is the right side of the piece. Happy knitting!

Hei!

Knitted beanie / hipster hat with rib in DROPS Polaris.
DROPS 214-18 |
|
------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- HAT – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: The piece is worked back and forth with circular needle. HAT: Cast on 40-44 stitches with circular needle size 12 mm = US 17 and Polaris. Work rib back and forth (knit 1, purl 1). REMEMBER THE KNITTING GAUGE! Insert 1 marker in the side of the piece which has small waves on the first row = right side; this is done so the bottom edge of the hat will be neater when turned up. Work rib until the piece measures 32-33 cm = 12½"-13" from the cast-on edge – adjust so the next row is worked from the right side (= side with the marker). Now decrease for the top of the hat as follows: ROW 1 (= right side): Knit all stitches together 2 and 2 = 20-22 stitches. ROW 2 (= wrong side): Purl. ROW 3 (= right side): Knit all stitches together 2 and 2 = 10-11 stitches. Cut the strand, pull it through the remaining stitches and tighten. Sew the sides of the hat together in the outermost loop of the outermost stitch; make sure you sew from the right side and the seam is flat. Cut and fasten the strand. Fold the bottom of the hat to the right side; the edge with the waves will be on the right side making turn-up neater. |
