Dear Kim, there is no pattern for this that writes out the lace pattern stutch by stitch, however, why don't you try to make sense of the diagram? It is well worth it. Just go from the bottom row, laft to right and then right to left in every other row. Each stitch is explained above the diagrams. And you can always ask for help in person or over the phone at the store where you bought your DROPS yarn from. Happy Knitting!

Diagrams show all rows in pattern seen from the right side. ---------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ---------------------------------------------------------- SHAWL - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: Worked back and forth on circular needle to make room for all the stitches. SHAWL: Cast on 7 stitches on circular needle size 5.5 mm = US 9 with Air. Knit 1 row from wrong side. Knit 2, 1 yarn over, knit 1, 1 yarn over, knit 1, 1 yarn over, knit 1, 1 yarn over and knit 2 = 4 stitches increased, 11 stitches on row. Knit 1 row from wrong side.
