On the front for the collar, it states to work back and forth only the first 18 stitches in the garter stitch, then bind off after it measures 4 1/2 inches. What do you do with the remaining stitches? Do they go on a stitch holder or how would you bind them off?
16.01.2016 - 20:22DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Ferdelman, sts for collar are worked with short rows: *Work 2 rows over all sts, work 2 rows only over the first 18 sts*, repeat from *-* until collar measures approx, 11-11-11-12-12-13 cm / 4½"-4½"-4½"-4 3/4"-4 3/4"-5" from shoulder (measures in the shorter side). You then sew tog cast off sts from right and left front pieces tog then sew collar along neckline on back piece. Happy knitting!
