Bon crochet!

MAGIC CIRCLE: To avoid a hole in the middle beg with this technique: Hold yarn end in the left hand and make a loop around left index finger (from left to right). Hold the loop with left thumb and index finger. * Insert hook through loop, get the yarn from ball, pull yarn through loop, make 1 YO on hook and pull YO through st on hook = 1 sc *, repeat from *-* until there are 8 sc in loop, finish with 1 sl st in first sc. Continue as explained in pattern – AT THE SAME TIME pull yarn end so that loop is tighten tog and the hole disappears. CROCHET INFO: Replace first sc at beg of round with 1 ch. Finish every round with 1 sl st in first ch from beg of round. I.e. when piece is worked in the round, work alternately from RS and WS and fasten with 1 sl st in first ch on round. ---------------------------------------------------------- SLIPPER: Slipper is worked on hook size 8 mm / L/11 with 1 strand Snow. Beg working from the toe. Piece is first worked in the round - read CROCHET INFO above, then worked back and forth. FOOT: Make a MAGIC CIRCLE - see explanation above - with lime. ROUND 1 (WS): Turn piece and inc 6-7-8 sc evenly = 14-15-16 sc. ROUND 2 (RS): Turn piece and work 1 sc in every sc. ROUND 3 (WS): Turn piece and inc 6-7-8 sc evenly = 20-22-24 sc. Work 3 rounds with 1 sc in every sc, finish with 1 sl st in first ch (last round is worked from RS). Switch to medium gray and work until piece measures 8-9-10 cm / 3"-3½"-4". HEEL: Now divide the piece and work back and forth over the first 15-17-19 sts. When slipper measures approx. 21-24-26 cm / 8¼"-9½"-10¼", place it double and work tog mid back with 1 row sl sts from WS through both layers. EDGE: Work around the entire slipper from RS with medium gray as follows: 1 sc in every row and 1 sc in every sc mid on top of foot, finish round with 1 sl st in 1st sc. Fasten off. Work another slipper. |
