To avoid holes in the middle beg with this technique:
Hold yarn end in the left hand and make a loop around left index finger (from left to right). Hold the loop with left thumb and index finger. * Insert hook through loop, get the yarn from ball, pull thread through loop, make 1 YO on hook and pull YO through st on hook = 1 dc *, repeat from *-* until there are 8 dc in loop, finish with 1 sl st in first dc. Continue as explained in pattern – AT THE SAME TIME pull yarn end so that loop is tighten tog and the hole disappears.

Replace first dc at beg of round with 1 ch. Finish every round with 1 sl st in first ch from beg of round. I.e. when piece is worked in the round, work alternately from RS and WS and fasten with 1 sl st in first ch on round.

Slipper is worked on hook size 8 mm with 1 strand Eskimo. Beg working from the toe. Piece is first worked in the round - read CROCHET INFO above, then worked back and forth.

Make a MAGIC CIRCLE - see explanation above - with lime.
ROUND 1 (WS): Turn piece and inc 6-7-8 dc evenly = 14-15-16 dc.
ROUND 2 (RS): Turn piece and work 1 dc in every dc.
ROUND 3 (WS): Turn piece and inc 6-7-8 dc evenly = 20-22-24 dc.
Work 3 rounds with 1 dc in every dc, finish with 1 sl st in first ch (last round is worked from RS). Switch to medium grey and work until piece measures 8-9-10 cm.

Now divide the piece and work back and forth over the first 15-17-19 sts. When slipper measures approx. 21-24-26 cm, place it double and work tog mid back with 1 row sl sts from WS through both layers.

Work around the entire slipper from RS with medium grey as follows: 1 dc in every row and 1 dc in every dc mid on top of foot, finish round with 1 sl st in 1st dc. Fasten off.
Work another slipper.
