Fattas nåt i mönstret?

Knitted DROPS shawl with pattern in "Lace".
DROPS 143-5 |
||||||||||||||||
GAUGE: This garment is to be soaked and blocked/stretched to size afterwards so the gauge is not that important but to get a sense of whether you are working too loose/tight, work a test on needle size 3.5 mm/US 4 in stockinette and get approx. 23 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm/ 4" x 4". GARTER ST (back and forth on needle): K sts on all rows. PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 to A.4. Diagrams show all rows seen from RS. BIND OFF WITH YO: * Bind off 3 sts, make 1 YO on right needle, bind off YO *, repeat from *-* the entire row. ---------------------------------------------------------- SHAWL: Worked back and forth on circular needle to make room for all the sts. Cast on 9 sts on circular needle size 3.5 mm/US 4 with Lace. Insert 1 marker in the 5th st (mid st - marks mid back of shawl). Work 1 row as follows (= RS): K 3, 1 YO, K 3, 1 YO, K 3 = 11 sts. Then K every row while AT THE SAME TIME inc 4 sts on every row from RS as follows: Make 1 YO inside 3 sts in garter st in each side and make a YO on each side of mid st with marker. On next row K YO to make holes. When piece measures approx. 40 cm/15¾" in the middle, work as follows – from RS: 2 sts in garter st, work the first 3 sts in diagram A.1, repeat the next 2 sts until mid st (which is worked in stockinette), repeat the first 2 sts in A.2 until 5 sts remain, work the last 3 sts in A.2 and finish with 2 sts in garter st. Continue like this with pattern and inc. When piece measures approx. 63 cm/24¾" on the middle, work in garter st over all sts for 2 cm/¾". Cast off with YOs - see explanation above. EDGE: Cast on 8 sts on needle size 3.5 mm/US 4 with Lace. Work back and forth according to diagram A.3, AT THE SAME TIME work the edge tog with the shawl – start at the top of shawl and work the edge along the right diagonal side down to the tip. Work the edge on to the shawl as follows – on every row from WS: Pick up the outermost st in front loop from shawl with right needle, work first st from left needle (A.3), pass the new st over, work the rest of row. When lace edge have been worked down to tip of shawl, bind off. Repeat along the left side of shawl but now work according to A.4. Work the edge on to the shawl as follows – on every row from RS: Pick up the outermost st in front loop from shawl with right needle, work first st from left needle (A.4), pass the new st over, work the rest of row. Sew tog bind off edges on A.3 and A.4 at the bottom of tip. BLOCKING: Place the shawl in lukewarm water until it is soaking wet. Gently squeeze the water out - do not twist. Then roll the shawl in a towel and squeeze to remove more water - the shawl will now only be moist. Place the shawl on a carpet or mattress - carefully stretch it out to size and fasten it with pins. Leave to dry. Repeat the process when the garment has been washed. |
