Cannot figure out m1 grid. Is each row of grid ( 3 stitches) repeated for a round. Moving 2 the second line of grid for next round. Or do ya continue to second row of grid when 3 stitches are complete and again after 6 stitches are complete
07.04.2013 - 23:53DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Callan, M1 is worked on 3 sts and 6 rows, ie on each row, you repeat the 3 sts around each line of the diagram. When first line has been worked = 1st round, continue with 2nd line in diagram = 2nd round. happy knitting!

Wer weiss Rat! Freundlichen Gruss
13.11.2012 - 09:52DROPS Design answered:

Bon tricot !

Men's knitted hat with textured pattern, in DROPS Karisma or DROPS Merino Extra Fine.
DROPS 135-31 |

PATTERN: See diagram M.1 (= 3 sts). -------------------------------------------------------- HAT: Worked in the round. Cast on 117-129 sts on circular needle size 4 mm / US 6 with Karisma. K 1 round and continue in rib K1/P2 on all sts until piece measures 4 cm / 1½''. Now continue in PATTERN on all sts – see above! REMEMBER THE GAUGE! When piece measures 18-20 cm / 7"-8" work 3 rounds rib K1/P2 and now dec all P2 to P1 = 78-86 sts. Change to double pointed needles when sts no longer fit circular needle. Work 2 rounds rib K1/P1. Now K2 tog across the round = 39-43 sts. K 2 rounds and then K tog every 2nd and 3rd st across next round. On next round work all sts 2 and 2 tog = 13-15 sts. Pull thread through all sts and tighten tog. Hat measures approx 22-24 cm / 8 3/4"-9½". |
