Dec to shape the armhole each side on every other row: 2 sts 1-2-4-6-8-10 times and 1 st 2-1-0-1-2-1 times = 62-64-66-68-70-72 sts. When piece measures 56-58-60-60-62-64 cm [22"-22¾"-23⅝"-23⅝"-24⅜"-25¼"] work stripes after S.4. After 1 vertical repeat of S.4 complete piece in light blue Alpaca . At the same time when piece measures 60-62-64-66-68-70 cm [23⅝"-24⅜"-25¼"-26"-26¾"-27½"] bind off the middle 22-22-22-24-24-24 sts for neck and bind off 1 st on neckline on next row = 19-20-21-21-22-23 sts left on each shoulder. Bind off when piece measures 62-64-66-68-70-72 cm [24⅜"-25¼"-26"-26¾"-27½"-28⅜"] from bottom point. Left front piece: Cast on 56-60-64-72-80-84 sts (includes 1 edge st at side and 7 front band sts towards mid front) on 2 needles size 4.5 mm [US 7] with 2 strands light blue Alpaca . Remove 1 needle and work 2 rows garter st. Work M.1 – see diagram for your size – with 1 edge st at side and 7 front band sts towards mid front in garter st. At the same time when piece measures 5-5-6-6-6-6 cm [2"-2"-2⅜"2⅜"-2⅜"-2⅜"] work stripes after S.1 – read Knitting tips! After 1 vertical repeat of S.1 continue in light blue Alpaca . When piece measures 23-23-24-24-25-25 cm [9"-9"-9½"-9½"-9¾"-9¾"] work stripes after S.2. After 1 vertical repeat of S.2 continue in Light blue Alpaca . At the same time when piece measures approx 31-31-31-31-30-30 cm [12¼"-12¼"-12¼"-12¼"-11¾"-11¾"] from bottom point work M.2 with 1 edge st at side (work front bands in garter st as before) = 48-52-56-64-72-76 sts. Str M + L + XL + XXL + XXXL: Work M.3 – see diagram for your size - with 1 edge st at side and front band sts as before = 48-52-60-64-68 sts. Continue in stockinette sts with 1 edge st at side and 7 front band sts towards mid front. At the same time on 1st row dec 2-0-0-2-0-0 sts evenly = 46-48-52-58-64-68 sts. When piece measures approx 41-43-45-45-46-47 cm [16⅛"-17"-17¾"-17¾"-18"-18½"] work stripes after S.3. After 1 vertical repeat of S.3 continue in light blue Alpaca . At the same time when piece measures 43-44-45-46-47-48 cm [17"-17¼"-17¾"-18"-18½"-19"] from bottom point bind off for armhole at side as described for back piece. At the same time when piece measures 51-52-53-54-55-56 cm [20"-20½"-21"-21¼"-21⅝"-22"] slip mid front 9-9-9-10-10-8 sts on a stitch holder. Bind off to shape the neckline as follows: 2 sts on every other row 3-2-1-1-0-1 times and then 2 sts on every 4th row 2-3-4-4-5-5 times. At the same time when piece measures 56-58-60-60-62-64 cm [22"-22¾"-23⅝"-23⅝"-24⅜"-25¼"] work stripes after S.4. After 1 vertical repeat of S.4 complete piece in light blue Alpaca . After all dec are complete there are 19-20-21-21-22-23 sts left on shoulder. Bind off loosely when piece measures 62-64-66-68-70-72 cm [24⅜"-25¼"-26"-26¾"-27½"-28⅜"] from bottom point. Right front piece: Like left front piece but mirrored. Remember to bind off for buttonholes – see explanation above. Sleeve: Worked in the round on circular needles. Cast on 55-56-61-64-66-70 sts on circular needles size 4.5 mm [US 7] with 2 strands light blue Alpaca . Work 4 rounds garter st - see explanation above. Insert a marker at beg of round = mid under sleeve. Continue in stockinette sts. When piece measures 4 cm [1½"] dec 1 st on each side of marker on every 8-8-5.5-3.5-3-2.5 cm [3⅛"-3⅛"-2¼"-1¼"-1⅛"-⅞"] a total of 3-3-4-5-5-6 times = 49-50-53-54-56-58 sts. Continue until piece measures 23-23-22-20-19-19 cm [9"-9"-8¾"-8"-7½"-7½"]. Now inc 1 st on each side of marker on every 1.5-1-1-1-0.5-0.5 cm [½"-⅜"-⅜"-⅜"-¼"-¼"] a total of 5-6-7-9-11-12 times = 59-62-67-72-78-82 sts. When piece measures 32-32-31-30-30-29 cm [12½"-12½"-12¼"-11¾"-11¾"-11⅜"] (Note! Shorter measurements in the larger sizes due to longer sleeve caps and wider shoulders) bind off 4 sts each side of marker and complete piece back and forth on needle. Bind off to shape the sleeve cap in beg of every row, each side: 2 sts 3 times and 1 st 1-2-1-3-5-6 times, then 2 sts each side until piece measures 40-40-41-41-42-42 cm [15¾"-15¾"-16⅛"-16⅛"-16½"-16½"]. Now bind off 3 sts each side and bind off remaining sts on next row. Piece measures approx 41-41-42-42-43-43 cm [16⅛"-16⅛"-16½"-16½"-17"-17"]. Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Neckline: Pick up approx 75 to 95 sts (includes sts from stitch holders) round neck from RS on needle size 4.5 mm [US 7] with light blue Alpaca . Work 6 rows garter st back and forth on needle, bind off loosely. Assembly: Sew tog sleeve seams inside 1 edge st. Set in sleeves. Sew on buttons. |
