Gauge: 8 sts x 11 rows in reverse stockinette st = 10 x 10 cm. Measuring tips: Due to the weight of the fabric, make all length measurements when the garment is held up. Otherwise, it will be too long when worn. Back: Cast on 28-30-34-38-44 sts with Fox. K 6 rows garter st, then knit reverse stockinette st, keeping 1 edge st at each side in garter st throughout. When the piece measures 15-15-15-15-25 cm inc 1 st at each side. Repeat inc for Sizes S, M, L and XL when the piece measures 28 cm (inc only 1 time for size XXL) = 32-34-38-42-46 sts. When the piece measures 36-37-38-39-40 cm – read Measuring tips above – bind off for armhole at each side every other row: 2 sts 1-1-1-2-2 times and 1 st 0-0-2-1-2 times = 28-30-30-32-34 sts. When the piece measures 54-56-58-60-62 cm bind off the center 8-8-8-10-10 sts for the neck = 10-11-11-11-12 sts remain on each shoulder. On the next row bind off the remaining sts, the piece measures approx. 55-57-59-61-63 cm. Right front: Cast on 11-12-14-16-19 sts with Fox. Knit 6 rows garter st, then knit reverse stockinette st, keeping the 3 edge sts at the center front edge in garter st to finished measurements and 1 edge st at side edge in garter st up to armhole. After 2 rows garter st inc 1 st at the center front edge every other row 4 times = 15-16-18-20-23 sts – inc inside 3 edge sts in garter st by pulling up a st from previous row, twist and knit the st. When the piece measures 15-15-15-15-25 cm inc at the side as on back. Repeat inc for Sizes S + M + L + XL when the piece measures 28 cm (you only inc once for size XXL) = 17-18-20-22-24 sts. When the piece measures 36-37-38-39-40 cm – read Measuring tips – bind off for armhole at the side as on back = 15-16-16-17-18 sts. When the piece measures 55-57-59-61-63 cm bind off the outermost 10-11-11-11-12 sts at side for shoulder. Now knit the collar over the remaining 5-5-5-6-6 sts. Continue in reverse stockinette st with the 3 outermost sts at the center front in garter st until the collar measures 5-5-5-6-6 cm, put sts on a st holder. Left front: Cast on and knit the same as the right, reversing shaping. Sleeve: Cast on 24-24-26-26-26 sts with Fox and knit 6 rows garter st. Change to reverse stockinette st, keeping 1 st at each edge in garter st, decreasing 4 sts evenly distributed on the 1st row = 20-20-22-22-22 sts. When the piece measures 15 cm inc 1 st at each side every 16-11-10-8-6 cm a total of 3-4-4-5-6 times = 26-28-30-32-34 sts. When sleeve measures 51-51-49-49-48 cm bind off for sleeve cap at each side every other row: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 1 time and 1 st 0-0-1-1-1 time, then bind off 2 sts at each side until the piece measures approx. 55 cm for all sizes, then bind off 3 sts 1 time at each side. Bind off the remaining sts, the piece measures approx. 57 cm for all sizes. Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Collar: Join the collar at center back with Kitchener st then sew the collar to back neck edge to edge. Sew in sleeves. Sew sleeve and side seams in one, in outermost sts. Crocheted edge: Crochet with Snow around lower edge of sleeves and around entire edge of cardigan – begin at center back of lower edge, up along right front, around neck, down along left front and to center back lower edge as follows: Round 1: 1 sc in first st, * ch 4, 1 dc in 2nd ch (= 1 picot), skip over approx. 2 cm, 1 sc in the next st *, repeat from * - * and finish with 1 picot and 1 sl st in first sc at start of row.
