Hi Angela. You are supposed to decrease every other row as follows: 2 stitches 2 times in both sizes (2-2), and after that you are to decrease 1 stitch 3 times in both sizes (3-3). Happy knitting

Hi Angela. There's a measurement sketch at the bottom of the page, next to the diagrams. This contains all the different measurements in both sizes. Our graphics department will look through our archives for a different photo, and if a better one is found it will be uploaded shortly. Happy crafting

Ik vind het jammer dat er geen plaatje van de schouderwarmer en capuchon bijstaat. Ik kan me zo moeilijk een beeld vormen van hoe dit eruit gaat zien.

Pullover: The body is knit separately; the crocheted squares are attached afterwards. Crochet border: Make 5-5 squares each of A and C, and 4-5 squares each of B and D. Crochet together with dark brown/chocolate brown - see Fig.1 for the order in which the squares are joined (Str. S/M is Size S/M; Str. M/L is Size M/L) The arrows marked M.F = center front. First make 2 strips of 9-10 squares each - see the thin line in diagram 1. Then join the two strips - see the thick line in diagram 1. Front: Cast on 97-107 sts with brown/chocolate brown. Knit 2 rows garter st, then knit Pattern 1 in stockinette st - start at the 7th row of chart. Then knit Pattern 2, then repeat Pattern 3 to finished dimensions. At the same time when the piece measures 12-14 cm [4.75" - 5.5"] bind off for armhole at each side every other row: 3 sts 1-2 times, 2 sts 3-3 times, 1 st 3-4 times = 73-75 sts. When the piece measures 27-30 cm [11" - 11.75"] bind off the 19-21 sts at center front for neck. Bind off at each neck edge every other row: 2 sts 2-2 times, 1 st 3-3 times = 20-20 sts remain on each shoulder. When the piece measures 33-36cm [13" - 14-⅛"], bind off all sts. Back: Cast on and knit the same as the front, but bind off for the center st for back neck split when the piece measures 26-29 cm [10.25" - 11-⅜"] = 36-37 sts each side. Knit each piece separately. When the piece measures 31-34 cm [12.25" - 13⅜"] bind off 14-15 sts at each neck edge. Bind off 2 sts at each neck edge on the next row = 20-20 sts remain on shoulder. Bind off when the piece measures 33-36cm [13" - 14-⅛"] - match the pattern on the front. Sleeve: Cast on 46-48 sts with brown/chocolate brown. Knit 4 rows garter st, then knit Pattern 1 in stockinette st once, repeat Pattern 2 a total of 3 times and then repeat Pattern 3 to finished dimensions. At the same time when the piece measures 8-8 cm [3-⅛"] inc 1 st at each side 14-15 times: Size S/M: Alternately every 8th and 9th rows. Size M/L: Alternately every 7th and 8th rows = 74-78 sts. When the piece measures 48-47 cm [18-⅞" - 18.5"] bind off for armhole at each side every other row: 3 sts 1-1 time, 2 sts 2-2 times, 1 st 9-12 times, 2 sts 2-2 times, 3 sts 1-1 time. Bind off, the piece measures approx. 58-59 cm [22-⅞" - 23.25"]. Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Pick up, from center back, approx. 78 to 84 sts around the neck with olive/light olive. Knit 4 rows garter st, bind off loosely. Crochet a buttonhole with olive/light olive on the left side of split as follows: 1 sc, ch 3, fasten with 1 sc 1 cm [3/8"] from beginning, continue with sc around the entire split. Sew on buttons. Sew in sleeves. Sew sleeve and side seams. Attach the crocheted strips to the bottom 2 rows of garter st as follows: Crochet with brown/chocolate brown: * 1 sc in Body, ch 2, 2 sc in the ch st bow on the crocheted square, * ch 2, 1 sc in Body, ch 2, 1 sc in the next bow on the crocheted square *, repeat from * - *. |
